Been a while. School didn't leave me much time to draw for the past months.

Smirt I AM OBSESSED WITH EVERYTHING YOU DO! But this last painting is one that stands out... Its like THE FIRST TIME EVER! Something bothers me about it. After staring at it for a little bit, I THINK its the relationship between the background and edges of the shoulders and just THE ROBE in general? It makes almost the entire body flatten out. The hands and the bellybutton area are well developed but the robe contradicts it. I think having more contrast in the highlights of the robe might help? I just can't get past it! Can you see what I'm talking about or am I insane?

Oh! And come on... there should be some blood splatter or something! It just looks like chocolate syrup on a manikin!

I don't know if you wanted critiques or not on that piece... but I wanted to voice my opinion SO I DID!

I'm like one of your biggest fans so don't get upset!

edit:This message pertains to your last two posts. I just noticed this is the seventh page of this thread.

    1. The guy on the right is Eddie Izzard?
    2. Great rendering as is true on all these. Looks like a man with boobs though.
    3. Beautiful.
    4. An androgyne that has a life as a man and one as a woman?
    5. There is a lot to say about this one.
    6. Looks great. I'm seeing you like androgynous males with this thin pointy face and nose. I wonder if it looks like you.
    7. Distressing sort of the way his arm is hanging off the cloud. Looks both comfortable and uncomfortable.
    8.
    9. Creepy. Like the way the light seems to avoid his face and hands.
    10. This is just an amazing concept. I wish there was more to this. The tuning fork heads, the wings, the horses, everything. Its wonderful. Seriously I desire to know the story here.
    11. Very very nice composition and rendering.
    12. Excellent realism.

Looks like 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8 could be drawings of the same person with different styles and clothing.

It all has a slight edge of creepyness and is all a little unsettling, though for some of it there is not any obvious or easily explained reason why this should be the case.

cuptow555: loool. Hmmm. Thanks for giving your opinion.

Robotus: 2, 4 and 8 actually are drawings of the samecharacter Johan Liebert from Monster, comic by Naoki Urasawa. 4. is him aside his twin sister Nina.
I look more like in 12. lol!
About the cavalry painting you can find more on the story on my CGsociety page, I wrote a little bit about in the description. Though it's part of a much bigger story. http://smirtouille.cgsociety.org/gallery/929624/
    Thanks for commenting my work.

Dammnit man, your stuff keeps getting better.
I think the uniqueness of the designs is such a good thing going on here. Wonderous works.

    Hi, thanks.
I brought something new, a collaboration with another artist Stéphanie Clément. She drew for me a beautiful pencil drawing and I colored it.

And a fanart of Battle Angel Alita, comic from Yukito Kishiro, which is my favorite.

Forgot to add this. I would like to wear it as a T-shirt design. But too expensive to print in mass, and not many people like what I like xD

    Got some etching work here:

    I like Villains [Illustration]
My final project for printmaking etching class last Fall semester. Theme was Fragile, I made this avian person.
Wings too small to fly with the birds and no arms to be an efficient person, a fragile person in-between two different world, inappropriate for any of them.
Hard ground, soft ground and aquatint.

And hopefully some woodblock later on.

    Hi. Another large finished piece.
I think I'll stop digital painting for a little while, just to focus on my traditional classes this semester. Just feeling tired.

Smirt, if you stop digitally painting for awhile, YOU HAVE TO take pictures of some of the traditional stuff you do! Your fans (including me) will have withdrawals if you don't! So... DO IT!
