Ho, thanks The_flash, are you the one who just ranked my thread so bad that made it go back to 4.48? I don't feel like struggling with portraits, I love doing them, even if I learn something each time I paint one.

    I'll just bring this back:

Thanks for the comments, it is very much encouraging. I'm working on interesting stuff by now but I can't still show. Hopefully I was having a break last night and did something just for the fun I can show. No specific purpose or effort here, was just letting myself go. I just tried to keep it rough and sincere instead of polishing for nothing.

The scaly armor/clothing in the 3rd piece is what caught my eye. Your faces tend to look a little expressionless, but certainly some nice stuff going on.

    Hey Amelie,

I just saw the write up about you and the game Tryaade in the latest ImagineFX. Good job. Where and when can we see more of the work you did on that project? It looks really interesting.

Hey Smirt! Me again, I also found this topic of yours and I'm very curious how you achieve this smudgy, still clean, painting style like at post #90 and # 122. I want to practice this style as well but have no idea how to start

What are your brush-pref's? I use a oval-brush, hard edged but with opacity and flow on penpressure. I use a Bamboo (without tilt) but I bought myself a new intous today so I want to learn like crazy

Hopefully you could help me out Cheers!

You make me feel like shit, in a warm fuzzy kind of way.

When do you have freetime? I have the next week free, but after that school goes back up again and I won't have much time to chill(probably none :X)

Great, but many of your works have an unfinished look to them! I would suggest keeping your complexity in planes equal throughout - they kind of fade out into a whole 'nother field and perspective!! A bit confusing, but you have some lovely effects and themes going on, you just need to bring it together with a good composition IMO.

J: Thank you. You can't see the other artworks anywhere by now, but I'll start to post some very soon.
Absorber: Keep that brush, take the Smudge tool, go to F5 window, add 30% scattering and you have it.
armetage: I know about noah-k, but he's not of my inspiration.
Kvivk: So where and when do you want to meet?
Memo213: I think they look actually too polished sometimes.

I made a tutorial about skin tones, people kept asking me about what colors. In fact I have no answer, I don't ask myself the question: Tutorial

    One hour portrait from imagination.

Oh, I see. I think they are perfectly polished, but the compositions, I think, may be what is making them look unfinished, if you know it isn't your details.

You've got some nice looking pieces in here. I really like the rainbow of colors used on a few of your pieces (such as the one you made for your friend). Very striking palette.

Many of your pieces look like they'd be better suited to the sketchbook or WIP forums. Just a thought.

    Keep up the good work.

Just a heads up: the left arm looks too short. I think it is generally safe to give the first part of the arm the distance of about the shoulders to the belly-button. An arc might work here, possibly adjusted for perspective.

    Memo: Ah,okay.
Alexandr: Gotta like that comment and gotta like that sketchbook too.

Little thing for th waiting, I'm still working on Tryaade character design series, almost done, only three people to draw then I'll post the whole family. So here is a the portrait of a friend's character, just friendly work. Am not a big fan of cian hair color, but I got the occasion to paint big breast, which I don't do spontaneously. (: o) I'm still trying to improve my "smiling" characters but that's more showing in pencil sketches so far. We'll see what happens.

    Hey smirtouille what's up ? .

I like your recent jobs , those horsemen are good looking. The horses in particular are really well done , I like the red glow effects on them . It adds some story to them. However , most faces look a bit too much alike recently. Why not try doing some different faces ?

Keep up the good work smirt
