    Zara's Art Atrocities

Wow, I SO do not feel like I belong here. But I hope to find the help and guidance here to make it so I DO belong here. So, um, yeah. Here's my stuff. Please, please, please critique.

The first image is a picture done in an art exchange. The character belongs to Meradragon but the art is all mine. I was trying for a more dynmic pose than I usually do and also to have a diffuse light source.

The second image is a seed painting of a Carnotaurus. It was done not for anatomy or detail, but to practice the play of light and shadow and backlighting on a firelit subject.

The third is an older pic, done in colored pencil. I rather like it still, though it's a bit more of an artistic interpretation than a scientific illustration.

So these are my first few posts, I'll do more as soon as I have something worthy of posting.

Oh! One last thing. I have had no formal training or art classes. So anything I do is stumbling through on my own intuition as far as colors and lighting and such.
