    Building A House!!!

This summer, my wife and I will be building our house! We're very excited, and I figure'd I'd post progress photos here as a way to share the joy, etc. I'm starting with some photos of the garage we built (mostly, my father-in-law built). All this week, people will be demolishing the old garage so we have a place for our house. In clearing out the garage, we've come across several things old enough to be given to the local historical museum - neat actually. One's a grape presser for wine.

Expect more updates as we make progress.

Very cool. Get into it Tas, I like the pics, very exciting. I am in the middle, {I think} of renovating my house and we have come a long way. Beware of burn out and try to pace yourself if possible. Thanks for sharing this.

Ah, they're tearing it down as I write this. You have no idea how good this feels.

Ilaekae, we're keeping the stones from the old walls, to decorate the new house (possibly for the fire place?). but the roof tiles made of asbestos need to go - hence the workers hired to do so properly. Also, I believe the wood we've got piled is too short to be of use? But we'll check with our architect.

This is a WiP, it belongs in the critique center. I like the perspective and the texture on the bricks. What brushes did you use?

It looks like you built a house...arround a house... is there something I'm missing?

Worth it in the end, though.
