i absolutely love your figure studies...keep up the good work
and oh good luck with your exams!
real solidity in your figure drawings
good luck study hard then come back and play >D
Gee I can't find when I was last here, and I'm sure I was - went back 10 pages then skipped a few. Amazing to see you improve so much in a couple of years. I do notice a lot of your figures and studies are from photos. It'd be great to see more life drawing in there along with the still lives (from actual life). Take that last male torso you did, I'm not sure what the heck is going on with his chest. Thinking construction all the time helps (I forget too) and you won't go far wrong.
Hey man! Great work on the study! Loving the brushstrokes!
I had a tough time choosing the colours the first time, and didn't do any
construction at all! Thought I can do better, so i restarted the drawing,
this time doing a base sketch underneath.
This came out.
Which version do you like better, the one with or without the white flowers?
Tried drawing only with the standard round brush, with no opacity or
pen pressure. Also no color picking since a while now, I first felt like
i was keeping a detoxification program, now I feel great! And i'm more
satisfied with my work, yey!
Really like the studies! And your bird looks great. 100% opacity can be pretty daunting when you commit to doing a piece with it, but it can be a great learning experience. Keep at it!
Thank you chevy28360! And you are right, I avoided 100% opacity for a long time,
and when i tried it, i failed. But now i really wanted to try again, and i am so proud
of my result!
I tried drawing with ink on paper. I'm still not sure how i should go about construction..
I hope i'll figure it out as i continue drawing haha
And another bird study today. Trying to combine the standard round brush 100% with my custom
brush which is set to pen pressure. I like the more clear edges.
I remember seeing your sargent study on FB, great job on it! =] I really like the bird in post 1276! Can't wait to see more from you ^^
I'm a peacock, you gotta let me fly!
You're not the only one who shrinks legs when drawing quickly. Once aware, it should help you to maintain length.
Nice varied sketchbook! The scissor material study is great. There is a lot of light and beauty in something so small and simple when you really study it
your coming along... keep going I say~

Today's study. Really took my time with this one.
First angles, big shapes, cylinders, spheres etc, then negative space then more construction.
And then linework.
I like the result. But i have to study arms more! And got to do more! And faster!
Really nice work, Cristina! Don't worry about speed, though. More of this type of study please
Speed will come. The proportions are great, and the balance of the figure is good (she's not falling over).
p sage - thank you sage! you cheared me up, adn motivated me to do more!
Aqualeot - aah now i see, thank you for telling me which
Today's studies. I stareted doing more construction work, but unfortunately I think i concentrated more on quantity, rather then quality.
Poor construction work with pen studies, I was so eager to draw those, i skipped construction big times. I should stop doing that and take it
a lot slower! >_<
I didn't like the mood, so I changed it. And those trees looked to old and...dead
I thought of discarding the character. First version is with the colors that i chose,
and the last one is with adjusted color and vibrancy. Which do you like more?
