I realize now how active you became with your drawings and paintings lately, so that’s why
I feel so energized myself. Legs, hand and face studies flying all around, not even a miracle can
take you down now. Quality work on those eye studies done in the beginning of this month,
surely point out your feeling for details and your sense for colors. Smashing the figure studies
like a real master, your leg and feet drawings came out just as a true winning combination,
even for those who didn’t paid for this month cable television. Drawing noses is simple as
anything else, just think in three dimension, and think about cylinders and boxes. You are
doing large steps and improvements visible, as for an advice I have nothing special, maybe
to do more traditional pencil drawings and greyscale paintings. My latest favorites are the
two environments in the post #1225, they are very pleasant for a viewers eyes, and they could
be brought to another level, by adding more details and increasing the resolution.
As an artist, your rank is heating up, your skills are hitting the attic each time I visit,
very satisfied I am. Keep it together and do it even more harder.
Sleep.less - Thanks! I think I'll redraw that after a few more figure studies. I don't like the flow.
TNiznet - Thank you for the encouraging Niznet, I appreciate it. And I am keeping it up,
getting excited seeing the improvement as well
LtPlissken - Thank you LtPlissken, a pleasure reading your comment. And encouraging as well. I am glad others
are seeing me progress. As for the landscapes, I'll trying a different approach on them because I don't know, but something
about the feeling they are sending doesn't seem right.
Is it just me, or is conceptART really, reaaaly slow lately?
I barely was able to upload these. And yesterday, I couldn't even open the sait
Getting to like figure sketching digitally! It feels a lot smoother now. And it isn't so difficult anymore,
paying attention to construction, shape, line weight, proportions etc at the same time. Yey!
But I have to work on my "preferences", I tend to do the poses I'm not so fond of faster, and take my time
more with the ones I like (measuring proportions, looking at angles, etc)
Very good figure studies, the second one is so hot and erotic,
I like it way to much. You’re not the only one, conceptart is ultra
slow on my computer too these days.
LtPlissken - thanks! hehe, glad you like them. but the 2nd one which is that, the one with the back completely towards us?
hope they're gonna fix things up soon, i can't see the emoticons either, and the speed is killing me
Trying to find angles and working more on proportions. I always tend to overlook these.
Added some arrows and marks to read the pose better.
Saw how weird those knees turned out, so I'll be drawing more legs. Got to understand them better.
Hello there, you started to work and post every day, that is a wonderful thing.
Above in post #1234, yes I was thinking about the 2nd figure drawing, she is sitting on the chair
turning her back toward us. Her backside, feet and leg are done so outstandingly.
In the post #1236 you’ve analyzed and transferred the proportions relatively cool,
and that’s the way how things should be done. Keep up breaking up body parts to blocks
just as you did with the head there. Legs require a special treatment and study time, a whole
chapter of patience so you could get the hang of them. Especially the knee area, they are
one tricky son of a guns. Posemaniac studies are cool, no matter how the majority speaks
against doing them, I think if the individual can benefit from those 3D renders, then they
should do them. We are all different, and we are all interpreting things differently, so
one of us can take use from posemaniacs, some of us will consider those figures as too artificial.
You are doing good things, and you will do even better things, you just keep up the positive attitude
and the everyday work habit. Thank you for that sweet thing that you’ve posted in my sketchbook
today, It made me really happy.
Thank you LtPlissken but as much as I would like to post and draw daily, I just had these
last couple of days more spare time in which I preferred drawing rather then doing something else.
But the next upcoming weeks I must learn very much so I don't know how much I'll be around.
In any case, I'm not going away for long! I still want to get better and better!
So here's what I have so far. The first are not so good, stress won me other and this seems
to show in my art big times. Started 4-5 drawings at some point, none seemed to go anyway,
just didn't have the relaxation to do it. Today I tried again, and started this illustration of mother bird.
Stuck on the composition though. If I'll make it better, then I'll work some more on it.
peace of paper on my desk - drawing in the night
scissors material study
ugly sketch from imagination
the illustration part 1
Really nice life study of the scissors!
Your latest illustration, I think thei girls legs are too long, same for the guys torso.
I know this is kinda weird to say but, looking at your figure studies & how you construct them has really helped me understand a few things. Everything is so clear & describes the form so well. So thanks for posting! Creeping over.......
Oh, and the digital paintings are so well observed that from a distance they could pass as photos. Inspiring stuff.
You shouldn’t be stressed and you shouldn’t feel any anxiety at all. Cause it’s totally contra
productive, and it will only make you to live your life in twitchy fear. You have to find a small
thing that makes you happy everyday, you have to look up at the sky and see all the birds and
the living things around you. Today’s modern way of living is wrong, being in a hurry all the
time, being stressed, a false faith that you will finish something and make it be perfect. There
is no such thing as being or doing perfect, finishing something that could never be finished.
Just relax and breath deep. Close your eyes and breath deep for three minutes everyday, and
think about good and positive things. You cannot do anything creative or good while you
are stressed. We only have this one life, and we can live it through only once, so we should
use everything the best we can. So remember, no stress, lots of fun and joy, and draw and
paint what you like the most. Enjoy the journey.
lovely lines of action and expression :> 40 pages of greatness!

The scissors material study is looking neat and I like the anatomy studys that you are pulling off. Looks great!
post #1225 with the fruit study looks delicous. I also want to say thank you for the feedback you gave me and I notice a nice improvement of the flow and movement of your anatomy. the structure is looking really good.
Thinking about that illustration in post #1241 and I agree with V3T that her lower legs that comes forward looks abit too long but your anatomy studies are looking really great. If you struggle with an imaginated pose, try to get a mirror or have someone help you take a photo of it and then you can feel the pose more. Hope this helps. Otherwise its looking really good. Keep pushing
V3T- yes, you are right! thanks for pointing them out, i should use reference more on the peace
Azsha- incantata de cunostinta Nicoleta, si multumesc! abea astept sa vad cum te perfectionezi.
SpaceJelly- thank you for your motivating comment, you're not weird at all haha, i'm glad that
i could help you improve! get better and show us some more awesomeness!
LtPlissken- thank you my friend, but it's not always easy to do. I know what you are talking of,
one of my goals is getting better at this. but when i am really near to the tests and i haven't learned much,
it really feels like i'm on top of a cliff and heading towards the edge.. thanks for the motivation, you brought
me joy with it
AngeUnge- you are to kind, thank you! I intend to do another 40 at least in the future haha
ninaren- thank you for the feedback and I am happy to have been of any help. I'll use reference more
on that peace, thanks again.
kevin_- and I intend to bring forward even more of them! thanks for the comment
Danny_K- I am happy to see your familiar face back in my sketchbook, and thank you for the lovely comment
it's good to see you still pushing it and still getting better and better, cheers danny!
From 11th april.
Sorry for the little absence, i had two really difficult tests. There will be one more on Monday, and 3 more next
Tuesday and Wednesday. But from all 4 only one is really difficult, so I'll be drawing some more.
I gave the last of the two today, and here's an imaginary relaxing, serene (in my opinion haha) and joyful IMAGINARY peace.
I tried experimenting a bit more with colour schemes and trying not to use reference, to see how I'd blend and draw.
I like the result.
First one is the original, the 2nd one is after playing around a bit with colours.
And here's a song I really like listening to right now..

From 12th april.
First landscape is from imagination, the next one is a colour-landscape study, and the third one
I did it for the pleasure of seeing how I tackle paining fruit again, makes me feel how much my
approach has changed since the last time I did one of these. It is interesting!
They're all quite loos, particularly the fruit peace (took me 15 min)
I just want to relax and have fun drawing after a hard learning period.
ps. Hope you guys can see this post and the one above? cA hasn't been working properly
these past few days and I have a feeling no one is seeing them xD

great studies! Especially I like material studies and anatomical!
do not forget about object's own shadow, when it meets with casting shadows they help to link object and surface. You had them in some of works at pg 41!)
It will help your pics to look more solid.
Also I'd suggest you not to finish too early your colored works - some of them look unfinished though it can be seen how cool they are!
Loved the anatomy studies and the still life, but whats with the pink tree? where did that come from?? LOL
The figure studies were great too by the way, there was a great sense of form and gesture, nice job!!
all the best
A great kind hearted lumbering bullock
http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=209918 = my Sketchbook
I really like the second environment you posted, great job ^_^
MMmmmmm that second landscape has some tasty brushees! LoL I the sketch book title, it says it all! And I see some really nice improvements, haven't had the chance to go through the older pages but from these recent few pages, you have gotten a lot better, the proportions are looking much better and the life studies are killer. Wicked good job on sticking it through Cristina >D Thanks for welcome back hee hee, haven't been sketching much last 2.5 yrs :/ But finding my way again and this 'Keep Going' sb is fueling mah fire
I likes when you go wild with colors, those eye studies are looking tasty on the last page, MOAR plz >D
How's everything else in life?! It's been sooo long maaaaaaaang
Hi there! I just looked through the last few pages of your sketchbook. Your use of color is really good, especially in your environments. I can only admire that.
Regarding the öerspective drawing in your last post, I believe you should place the vanishing points farther apart from each other, so that the building will look less distorted. I'm far, far away from being an expert, it's just that I have recently read that in a book.
Also, I think it's awesome that you could come back. Lots of people wouldn't have bother to make another attempt. You deserve a cookie for diligence.
So here's your sketchbook hidden as well.
Your figure studies already have some very good construction going on, but your figures from imagination are still having proportion and perspective issues.
Try to transfer everything you learn about constructing the human figure directly onto your imaginative stuff.
Like doing one page of anatomy and then doing at least one page of anatomy without reference to see if you can already apply what you just learned.
And your architecture study turned out quite good.
I like the second last step a lot more because you killed the values in the last one. Doesn't look very natural anymore.
But the overall building is looking great!
Keep it up Cristina!
Really cool stuff! ^_^ I like the perspective study, but if I could help on anything, it would be move the vanishing points further away, the closer they are, the more 'diamond shape' they will become.
Thank you everyone for your input, I'll be sure to apply the information
in my future drawings!
But for now, exams have started and I get to excited and distracted if I
keep drawing this month. So I'll be back when exams are over, that being
at the beginning of next month.
I'll be back! And I'm gonna keep this sketchbook going!
