    Recommend me some Anime

    yo yo CA,

I am a fan of certain Anime's (name em in a sec) just wondering if there are any more of similar style in terms of Art style and themes.

    my favourites include

Studio Ghibli - pretty much anything they bring out is a fav, Porko Rosso or Howls Moving castle are my fav's

Ergo Proxy - love the story and way its drawn, uses depth of field really well

Afro Samurai - love teh action sequences, gore for the win!

Neon Genesis Evangelion - big robots, nuff said

So yeh, stylistically anything similar anyone can suggest? I got some vouchers burning a hole in pocket and I wanna buy some new Animation

    Alex

Satoshi Kon's works are awesome, like all the best parts of Eva and Ghibli combined.
If you didn't ming the mindscrew of eva, you've got Lain, texhnolyze and all the versions of Ghost in the Shell.
And If you dig gore, Gantz is awesome, but the anime ending makes no sense at all.
    Onligatory Mentions:

    Samurai Champloo
    Outlaw Star
    Cowboy Bebop
    Oh, and this.
    Do you Mentler?

"Mind Game". This is seriously the most mindblowing animated film I've ever seen, in so many ways.

I'm not really into animu but I _loved_ Berserk.
The manga is a bit better though

You could also check out Witch Hunter Robin. A bit slow but still quite awesome.

    //edit
shit, now I have to rewatch Berserk.

Ergo Proxy ruuuuulez! i loved that one!

also i recomend Death Note, nice art, very interesting topic i like Bleach for the cute characters, but if you re not into all that "let s watch a series cause it stupid and fun" it s not that great :p

i had a list.. a friend of mine recomended some anime for me, there still lots of titles here i didn t watch yet, soooo here it goes:
    Akira
    Ninja Scroll- the movie
Grave of the Fireflies - movie, i understand it sone of those tearjerkers(not watched)
    GUNDAM series
Patlabor movies - the director of ghost in the shell - i understand there are 3 themes : robots, genetic engineering and such
Full Metal Alchemist - kinda cute, the idea was nice, the drawing not impressive
Final Fantasy VII - Advent CHildren - 3D movie, i liked the textures and the renderes a lot
Wolf's Rain - makes up it's own story of creation and stuff, as far as i was told
Gankutsuou : Count of Monte Cristo - very interesting textures, eyes hurt after a while though

i also know 2 soap-opera, girly kind of anime (shame, shame on me):
    Honey and Clover
    Nana

Boogiepop Phantom, Lain, Memories - just right amount of kawaiii-kakkkooi-sugooooiness
also, First Squad from Studio 4°C will be launched this fall - just in case.

personally, I hate all of the Miyazaki except Spirited Away, but his pictures have mindblowing budgets, thus worth watching anyway.

I got a few Anime films the other day due to a shop opening up which has a fair few for sale.

All of them are brilliant and stunning. (all movies)

Skyblue < took like 7 years to make i thinks, imo the best anime movie i've seen

Origin: spirits of the past < Ghost in the shell for the enviromental age

Appleseed: Ex Machina < just fucking awesome

Metropolis, although i havent watched it yet.

I like the character design in Bleach, but I havent watched the whole series so I cant speak for the story. One thing that I thought was great that I've never seen in a cartoon was Ichigo's clothes. You know how in cartoons you have a look for a character? i.e Homer Simpson always wears blue pants, white shirt. You may have a few variants for special things like going out to a nice dinner, whatever. In Bleach, Ichigo, and I think all the other characters as well for that matter, never wore the same outfit (except for the school uniform).
