    Great studies! That black and white portrait looks great, so does the smoke. I never really tried doing detailed smoke, but after this I think I should! Keep up the fine work!

    The closest I've come to painting a large amount of smoke like that was clouds... and that was such a huge challenge. Smoke has a different.. soul to it, I guess. Often more sinister of feeling to it than the fluffy happiness of the clouds I painted. Quite a challenge, so I'd love to see any future approaches to painting smoke if you decide to keep pursuing it :]

    Awesome face studies, the face is looking well placed on the head. Imho.. begin lightly with the features on the face itself and work darker from there. =)

    shiNIN;
    The more things change, the more they stay the same.... they say, so I guess the more
    I change the more I stay the same. What do you think honestly, is that true?
    My plan is to do as much as I will be able to do out of these grisaille portraits,
    so I could evolve my skills in this area, and not to get confused with the basics anymore.
    You can overpaint them whenever you feel up to it, or you could even add them some
    colors. That would just be a perfect cooperation between the two of us.
    I set my grandmother on fire yesterday, to see some real juicy smoke, so I could paint it
    more realistically and more better the next time. Shame that she burnt so brief.
    I have still not forgot about your lost soul painting, so I guess you will just have to
    paint that in the end. Boobs on their way...

    Silwynar;
    Brush settings; aaarrrgh makes me lose my nerves. I never liked too much to
    play with brush settings, cause in the end I realize, that I spend more time
    on setting up my tool than doing the actual painting, and that just throws me
    out from my work balance and pace. Thank you for your suggestion, and thank
    you for the advice about the background on the portrait painting. PS, I like your
    sketchbook icon, just as I like your avatar. Very striking images.

    Teapo;
    Hi there. Thank you for viewing and thank you for
    the motivation.

    Devastacio;
    I will just follow your advice, and try not to play any games, I will just draw and
    paint instead. If I install some game now, like for example FAllout 3 ‘New Vegas’,
    I will surely get addicted, and then there will be a lot of sleepless nights, and zero
    art done. So I better stay away from that kind of temptations, before I lose my mind
    again. Draw, draw, draw and draw every day. That is our main mission now.
    Thank you for the detailed review of my paintings and drawings in my last two posts.
    I will try to embrace my mistakes,will try to understand them and will strive toward not
    committing them again on my future drawings. You also realize that perfect does not
    exist, we can only think about something as a perfect thing, but life is full of flaws and
    distortions. So the same goes with art, no matter how you try to do something perfectly
    or realistic, it will always have some flaws. As a matter of fact even a camera is making
    some perspective errors or deformations, nothing can be captured perfectly. Our goal
    here is to learn art as much as we can, some tricks and moves to present our feelings
    and our mental inner space to the outside world. At least that is my goal. I do not want
    to be perfect, I want to improve and to hone my skills, but I am not expecting to become
    something that cannot be. Just trying to turn out modest here. Anyway, I do not want to
    overdue with my speeches again, I just want to thank you for all the things that you do,
    for making this society a greater place, and for making me feel more comfortable and
    more worthy showing my drawing to you all.

    Ramalooke;
    Oh nooo, but that is not an old lady, that is an old guy, haha did I made him
    look so wrong? Anyway, some sex change will not mind him, if it does not
    hurt him too much. I dig what you say about the background and the character
    merging with it. Was a lesser mistake, should try to increase the contrast,
    or to change the background a bit. Lesson learnt, I guess. I have messed up
    my fire also, made that one a bit too bright and the shape ain’t good also.
    What else should I say, than thanks for making me a better man.

    Pixie;
    Oh how nice to see you here again. I thought that you have been lost in a
    misty haze forever. You are right, I can be sincere and passionate,
    very surprising and pleasant thing to hear from you. I really appreciate it.
    The emotion embedded sometime have no purpose, haha you said that nice,
    I like it. I am twisted and weird and all that, what else should I say, it’s just
    me. Thank you for understanding me and for supporting me.

    Sivonja;
    I ain’t changing my style. Definitely not. My main subjects and motivation
    will stay all the way, and there would just had to happen something really
    drastic to turn the tides in my backyard. Violence and stuff will continue for
    sure. Thank you for the support.

    Bethany;
    I am happy that you like the smoke painting, it looks ok for some cartoony look,
    but it does not closely resemble the one from the tutorial. Thank you for the more
    detailed review of the face and armor designs, I will try to make some benefit out
    of my mistakes later on. Thank you.

    Quigleyer;
    I know about the thread subscription informing system not working correctly, or
    sometimes not working at all. It happens to us all. Sometimes I just have to revisit
    some sketchbooks randomly to realize that the thread is actually updated more than
    once even. I kinda lost patience and nerves with doing this last smoke painting, so
    I felt angry, but I think it is not my fault. I think that the tutorial is a real suckage.
    The guy does not explains nearly good enough the steps he did. You just do this
    and that and here you go, f*kin noob. He should be doing some gardening instead
    of doing tutorials. Uh, anyway, thank you for the advices and for your short review.
    When you say ‘doing sketch exchanges’, what does that actually mean?

    FightingSeraph;
    Hello, long time no see.
    Titillating – I like that word.
    Glad that you like my past paintings and I am happy
    that you visited me again and encouraged me. Big thanks.

    JailHouse;
    I get a bunch of great advices, and I feel blessed because of this.
    I am also try to help if it is possible to other fellow artists, with some advices
    or with some words of encouragement. I can be real antisocial, but most of the
    time I just manage to fight against that successfully. Will try to focus also on my edges
    and contrast on my digital paintings, thank you for the advices and for the words
    of encouragement.

    oma;
    Having sex with the clouds or with a smoke sounds real tempting. Wonder how
    would that feel. Will surely try it if I ever get the chance. hahaha, like it, like it.
    Thank you for your input, I always like your replies.

    mrd33ds
    Oh nooo, you are the 2nd one who thinks that the old man is a she,
    hahaha, I definitely messed up the job then. The guy is mentally insane
    in the movie anyway. Happy that you like the armor designs. Thank you
    very much for viewing the drawings and for encouraging me with your kind
    words.

    Kiwi;
    Hy there. Thank you for the advice and for your support.
    Will visit you soon, I hope that you have something nice for dinner.

    Naidy;
    I tend to do one eye bigger or smaller as the other, or I just keep making more
    or less space between them as I should. I am pretty much aware of these flaws,
    and I hope that more practice and experience will solve these issues. Thank
    you for pointing out some things and I always appreciate your kind words.

    equilerex;
    Default brush = bitch. Believe me, I was struggling with this painting for a
    good hour or more, and I was nervous all the time. I think that it is just a result
    of taking up doing shitty tutorials. Some tutorials are explained in real details and
    you can benefit a lot from them, by doing step by step, but some of the tutorials
    are real fail’s. I saw plenty of tutorials out there in textual or video format done on
    a too high level. The problem is not hiding in the teacher being bad, the problem is
    in the teacher thinking that the student is already on his level. Anyway, at least I have
    learned from this painting to take care which tutorials I will choose in the future.
    New update is coming, thank you for supporting me.

    Devastacio;
    Hello again. Thank you very much for your time and dedication for
    searching these tutorials out for me. Actually, the first one is the one
    from which I was doing my painting from, except that I got it in e-book variation.
    Thank you my friend, always was a pleasure to work with you.

    jeremygordon;
    Thank you for all of your advices, read my reply
    to equilerex two above, about my thoughts on the smoke
    tutorial if you are interested. I appreciate your time and attention
    spent on viewing my drawings.

    alexson;
    Thank you for your time and encouragement my friend.

    Myst;
    Hello and welcome. So glad to see you in my house.
    Maybe I will try to do some manually painted smoke or
    clouds in the future, thank you for your attention and for your
    encouragement. Visit any time again, you are more than welcome here.

    Ramalooke;
    You are totally right buddy, here are the updates,
    sorry for my so long procrastination, it was a busy week.
    Thank you for reminding me.

    Kungfoowiz;
    Thank you for the advices friend, much appreciated.

    Zorcron;
    Hello and welcome. No, you did not posted till now,
    and I very much appreciate your advice and your post.
    I should go out of my comfort zone, you are absolutely right.
    Thank you for the words of encouragement. I already visited
    your book but did not left a reply. Will surely do it, when I will
    have some more concentration and time buddy.

    shiNIN;
    I love you more than one way.

    This was a real busy week. I hate weeks like this one is.
    I am pretty much tattered and torn. Barely slept. I have to have
    social life, plus I would like to draw all the time. Sounds impossible now.
    Low energy warning !!!!
    Have to drink some beer. Definitely 2 or 3 beers , right now.

    I am sorry for not posting in some of your sketchbooks, who
    replied me. I will try to do that as soon as I will be able. I do
    not want to write just a 'nice work' comments, so I am hunting the
    right time when I am fresh and sober enough to reply a decent ones.
    Hope you all understand me, and I hope that you will be patient
    enough for me to visit you back.
    I am so glad that you viewed my art and that you all replied, noting
    me that I have to work harder and because all of you I have motivation
    and force to work on.
    Thank you.

    Good to see you cranking out alot of studies!

    Sure, I imagine alot of the women you are referencing have fake boobs, but even then they probably don't look like they are tugging that much on their skin. I don't think you need to draw any 'tug' lines anyway unless they are filled with steel instead of silicone (Owww :'() so either miss them out or make them more subtle.

    Oh, and try not to make your vaginas look too much like pacman. (I can't believe I've just wrote that)

    I didn't comment till now because I really can't say what to say, I can't criticize your stuff because you just should keep doing it and you will be better.
    And who am I to criticize anything? I avoid drawing figures myself because I don't even know where to start. I'm down at the moment because of this. I think I need some Bridgman studies

    Some crit if you insist... The left girl in the first picture has no proper top of skull I fear.

    You aren't bad with legs Sometimes they aren't so great, the poor messed up muscle study figure has odd knees as well, for example. But I see some nice sexy legs here as well

    Oh and it's good you drew despite having a more busy than desired week You are a hero You already have a nice idea involving some booze but give yourself a pat on the shoulder too instead of me

    {it's hard to stay an emo with reason when talking with you...}

    814, first picture: speaking as a girl, I feel like the girls' breasts are not part of her body...a problem I see more often than i would like with male artists who love boobs...

    for example, for the girl in profile (top right) the way you drew the side linking the breast to the body looks almost like she is wearing a t-shirt with nipples printed on them.

    Could someone stop increasing his progress level, please? He's getting better too fast and I am jealous! Damn, Plissken - it seems as if you had found access just to draw without thinking too much about measuring and perfection. No fear of the failure is paying off, huh?

    P.S. I found something about these perspective cubes at the Stanchfield book. See this link at page 101 "Applying perspective":

    And I was mid sip.

    When I read it, I got tea all over my keyboard.
    What a waste of earl Grey. :C

    But yes, that's all really. Looking forward to the next update, and thanks for the constant encouragement.

    Very cool update, the only crit I have is that the perspective of the foot on on bottom girl in the third sketch seems a little off. Maybe if you thickened up the foot a bit that would solve the problem, but as it is now it looks strange. Other then that minor detail nice work!

    YEAH YEAH!!! This is guud! =) To add to what Ryan is saying, also try to vary the pressure on your pencil for your lines, for example make one line, but vary the pressure of that one line, you should notice something interesting happening if you do this.. =)

    Ah exactly what I expected. When I'm opening your SB I'm expecting some naked, bitchy looking chicks with big boobs. Or I maybe should call them 'Snake style chicks'? Anyway I won't be talking this time about any anatomy, style, composition and stuff. I bet your update was reviewd by others, and till now you know what you did wrong on this attempt. Like your style, and you should update more often (same like me up). I'm waiting to see more cheers.

    To train anatomy use reference or mirror copping from illustration from book it's like learning photography shooting photos...

    Use the the simplify method to drawing from nature or reference

    Thumbs up

    hello there mate,

    after long time eh?

    If I install some game now, like for example FAllout 3 ‘New Vegas’,
    I will surely get addicted, and then there will be a lot of sleepless nights, and zero
    art done.
    I can say the same thing! It happned when I was playing 'Oblivion' ,'Gothic 3' and ‘Risen’. Man! Those RPG games are seriously entertaining but they suck the bloody life out of us. Anyways little gaming shouldn't hurt at all of you can keep it on a tight leash.

    I am pretty much tattered and torn. Barely slept. I have to have
    social life, plus I would like to draw all the time. Sounds impossible now.
    Low energy warning !!!!
    Well, as I said, you have to cope up with it my friend. As a guy these things shouldn’t bother you more than the dust under your boots! You have given a lot to this community and respected by most. You have encouraged so many friends around you and looking at these replies you can see they are really grateful. You just have to be strong for you and for the others when thing not going your way. Just do a 10-20 min drawing per day, that’s enough, when your going through a busy schedule and it keeps your spirits high. Your friends are with you so don’t worry.

    Here’s something to to fix your low energy problem. try not to bang your head somewhere...

    Well moving into the updates....

    Photo referenced:

    Those sketches are really cool. I like the way you use the direction of the strokes to define the forms. Something I should learn too. Good outlining too. Be careful with the shoulders (leftmost sketch) they look too square to me. My biggest crit is, draw the boobs as they are, not the way you want em to be! Start using natural looking boob references instead of those fake balloon boobs. Anyways im not asking you to give up your style.

    Michael Hampton book

    Hey I never heard about this book. Looks cool eh? Ill try to find it later. Btw did you give up Riven phoenix dvd learning?

    Photo referenced II

    Another couple of good sketches here. Leftmost chick got some wrong shading on her leg, it looks like flipped.

    Bridgman Studies

    You started bridgeman’s ? I don’t like it a one bit. I can’t make anything out of it at the moment. Maybe I wasn’t reading well enough. :p anyways tell me if its good, I’ll give another go.

    Muscle study

    This is not that bad mate. If you can draw a perfect figure then you don’t have to study nah? So take it as a good try. Anyways I cant help you a lot on this one im yet to start the muscle system in torso. Damn I haves touched my anatomy studies for nearly 2 weeks because of this drawing heads ‘business’

    life study

    I like it. My only crit is that you could have used some darker strokes as well. I also tend to neglect this most of the time. Nevertheless, it looks good.

    Comic book previews

    Haha now I see some wild imagination of yours here. what’s the score with the second one? I didn’t get it. Why’s she sad? If she didn’t press the button she’s going to get raped or something? (Knowing you, That’s always the story! )

    Boobs promised, boobs delivered

    Damn, I might need an oxygen mask if I had to venture into those boobs because they are freaking huge! You and your dirty dreams of monstrously sized boobs! lol btw try using some natural looking references for a change. Also those vaginas look scarcely overused. I need a better delivery! Lol kidding, good work! its your style after all

    Great update! I enjoyed it. Lets see more stuff soon

    oh if i sounded like a slave master, i didn't mean to :p

    Those last boobs are huge, and so is the cameltoe

    hahah, but seriously, you've definitely improved the most over the last 4-5 pages IMO, however I think if you were to do some face/anatomy studies that were purely line, as clean as you possibly can make them, and post them, we might be able to help you.

    You clearly understand form and mass, but certain shapes don't quite look right, and it seems as if your'e trying to hide mistakes with shadows, etc..

    You're color work is coming along as well, it's a bitch, i know. just keep working, coffee, drum n' bass and metal music!

    didn't mean any of that to sound harsh. keep em comin'

    ...the imperfections make it interesting...

    Naidy;
    But not replying to the people who supported me, would be a major corrupted deed
    from my side. So I will always put my friends in the first place then my art. That is
    why I will visit your sketchbook as much as I can, and I will try to post some
    sweetness there to encourage you. We are in the same team and we have to work
    together. The force is much stronger in us when we hover around in groups. No
    evil spirits can harm us if we keep moving together. So glad that you were the
    first one who replied me after this update, this just shows how much you care
    about my work. Thank you.

    Sulphur;
    Not making vaginas looking like pacman – that made my day.
    No more words needed here, hahaha.
    Ok, thank you.

    ryanoir;
    Will try to reduce my line amount, but I think that I will have to get some more
    experience and more battle scars for achieving that goal. Thank you for the
    support and for the advice.

    shiNIN;
    You are making me feel so good and proud with saying the things that you said above.
    You know how to make me melt like butter.
    Just tell me how could I thank you for your kind words and moral boosting replies?
    I do not think that I will ever be able to return you the favor.
    I think that you did too much for me here and most of the time you are
    making me overrated and you make me feel being special. No good,
    no good, I am being spoiled. Please smack me now. Real hard.

    Nicky;
    Big dong; hahaha, hope not, I do not think that I made such a big horrible
    mistake. Did I? Thank you for the kind words and the encouragement.

    HolyMane;
    Hello and welcome. Glad that you came by to see
    some sexual content. Thank you for the advices.

    Teapo;
    Boobs will be delivered in real, do not worry my friend.
    I know your address, I will send some real nice salivating bitchy ones
    to your house. You just do not get frightened when they get there.
    My soul is on fire and that fire will never die out. Thank you very much
    for everything. It is nice to work with you.

    Sivonja;
    Hello Mr. Sivonja. You will see what will happen when the button is
    pressed. Pretty soon I can feel it. Thank you for your
    constant support my friend.

    krysjez;
    You are right about the breasts and the mistakes that I am doing
    drawing them. I guess I would just need to feel them out a bit more detailed
    next time. I am always trying to do them oversized and to make them
    a bit unrealistic, but I guess that will count as a mistake. I am glad that
    you have left a reply and that you showed your kindness and support.
    Thank you very much.

    Parsakoira;
    Not the dong thing again. But those are vaginas, huge soft and warm vaginas.
    Thank you for the words of encouragement.

    surus;
    You little rascal, hehe, you want to spoil me too, with your kind words?
    You know it feel so good when you get a tap on your back, but I have to
    think that I am hard core bad and that I have never been worse at drawing,
    so I could work even more harder, and with a greater desire.
    Drawing without thinking and measuring, sounds great. My current goal
    is to be able to draw any character in any pose without any reference.
    I like to aim high.
    Thank you for the link that you provided, will study out “Applying perspective”.

    Naidy;
    Hello again. I am sorry about your spilled tea and about your keyboard.
    Silly, silly Sulphur. Silly Sulphur!
    Thank YOU for the constant encouragement, my dear.

    ezekrialase;
    I was struggling a lot with drawing that foot correctly. And I have failed.
    Thank you for viewing my latest uploads.

    Kungfoowiz;
    Varying pressure on my pencil. I will try to attack my pencil
    with a big pressure on him the next time. Will try to remember that.
    Thank you for your advices and for the kind words. Much appreciated.

    Ramalooke;
    I am so glad that I did not disappointed you, I have delivered exactly what
    others expected to see in this sketchbook. Naked chick, boobs, guns and other
    sweetness. ‘Snake Style Chick’ – I so much like that. Yes, we should call
    them like that. I am currently going on a style, more fewer amount of updates,
    but one update will contain much more drawings than earlier. That way, I can
    draw and paint all week long and then I can upload them all at once in the end.
    Wiiiiiiii, what a great idea. Thank you for encouraging me and lighting up
    the good will in me.

    kojot;
    Welcome to my house of pain. Thank you for the kind words, the
    encouragement and for the advices. I will surely return the favor.

    Devastacio;
    Zero games for me currently. I will not let myself into that now. Just
    a lots of drawing and reading. I am doing daily at least 20 or
    30 minute drawing, plus I am following out some tutorials and books.
    I am happy that you think all those positive things about me, your words
    surely boost my moral. Above one of your suggestions is that I should draw
    boobs as they are. Well I will, when It comes to realistic drawings, but in this
    last ones, I was aiming more on some comic book oversized styles, so I went
    a bit wild. I know that they rather look like anything else than real breasts, but
    I guess I was kinda aiming for something like they are. Plus, most of the time
    I take references with fake boobs, so I am converting someone’s art into another
    art. You could say it’s my style. Style which can be modified in the future.
    Michael Hampton book is real great, you should check it out. It worth much more
    to me than Bridgman. However I started to study a bit Bridgman also. Not too much,
    just a bit, not to get overworked at once, cause I do not really enjoy his book.
    I did not finished Riven Phoenix yet. I told
    you a month ago, I am real slow, and I am doing other studies also. I love to mix things
    up. That is also one of my styles, mixing things up.
    Comic book previews – You will find out pretty soon, what’s the stories are about.
    Boobs being freaking huge is something that I like, I like to portray a female body
    as to serve only for one purpose. After all, the human is a more intelligent animal.
    Fucking is an inevitable thing.
    I would like to thank you for the real detailed review, and for the time you have spent on
    writing this all. I expected nothing less from you, your qualities as a friend and as an
    artist are on the highest level. Will try to show my gratitude to you for all this in the future.
    Ah, and thank you for the Rob Zombie clip, I used to have this song all the time
    on my mp3 player. And I think that this song was also used in the movie ‘Dare Devil’.

    Dope Fiend;
    Cameltoe – I like that one.
    Face and anatomy studies will be done on a regular basis from this day, thank
    you for the advices and for your short review. I have already visited your book,
    so I hope that we can work together more in the future. Cheerz mate.

    Bethany;
    Ah, so glad to see you, I thought that the wolves got eaten you up
    in the snowy mountains under a frozen Christmas tree. But you are
    back, wiiiiii. Lol big dong suppose to be a juicy vagina. But I will
    improve, do not worry, I will make those to look much more
    attractive, both for males and for females. Thank you very much
    for the support my friend.

    Hey Plissken! You're moving like a speeding train in pursuit of a fugitive

    I admire your fearlessness in drawing fluid poses. Keeps things interesting and challenging!

    I would like to see you try to draw with something other than pencil for a while, to mix things up. I CHALLENGE YOU!

    FYI, I'm extremely sleepy. I fear I won't update today (oh no...).
    I won't be funny either.

    Oh colored pencil II is kinda nice. I almost feel like to modify her a bit but I have so many plans and so little energy level right now. Hm and I don't know enough about figure drawing to make it well enough for my inner critic.

    You use too many unnecessary little scribbling strokes but I guess you know that.

    Top right girl in the last pic made me smile

    Nice variety, good.

    I will continue to behave as I feel like to. If you became spoiled and it makes you conceited and your life will be out of track, it will be all your fault, not mine.
    You needn't worry, I'm a hedonistic selfish one, I don't do things out of kindness (and not even I require you return the favor, insert correct English here or translate into correct Hungarian ), I just do things that are good to me I get much from you as well, it's a facultative but very beneficial artistic symbiosis between us I'm sure

    I can't sit anymore, I go and lay down. Best wishes .

    Haha, oh man, it's hard for me to look at all those huge boobs. I like small ones much better, but hey, to each his own

    You are doing great with those studies (especially Michael Hampton/Bridgman) and that last life drawing of the house looks pretty cool There's already improvement in your work, just keep it up!

    As the others suggested you should keep an eye on your lines and on your reference. It looks like you are drawing more than you actually see (talking about those strange boobs in your first picture in #814)
