    Icon new webiste, some of my work

    This forum is great, I get a lot of inspiration by coming here. But I haven't visited in a while... Well, I have a new website I'd like to share with you:

    www.filmpaint.com

    I'm posting some jpgs from the site. This is work from the past 3 years (the ones I'm allowed to show at least)

    All concepts have a matte painting approach to it, using photo textures, parts of pictures, 3D and paint overs technique, something I've always liked to do.

    I use Photoshop, 3Dmax and sometimes Painter.

    Hope you like it!
    -Bruno

    Some great ultra-realism, I really like how you've taken existing locations (like the New York one) and augmented it into something else. Brilliant. You've put alot effort and care into this work, wish I had your patience and tenacity to finish a piece off.

    they're all really nice! Although what about that one with the pure black figure silhouettes? Why did you leave them like that?

    Wow, thats some really impressive work. You have a fantastic comprehension of perspective and how to portray cities. Some really cool scenes, and overall, a really nice showing.

    I always have a love/hate relationship with art this good;

    I love looking at it, it makes me feel inspired to work harder on my own stuff and I feel that with enough effort and work, maybe, just maybe I could do work as good as this someday.

    On the other hand, I hate looking at work this good because I have to put my own current work up against it to compare which is the equivalent of entering a baby into a marathon... and the baby hasn't learned to crawl yet.

    Don't worry - the love and inspiration far outshines the hate. Absolutely brilliant work and I really dig the website too - moody.
