I probably have no chance of winning, but I will give it everything I got. Already got lots of ideas, and I'll probably submit multiple entries O.o

    good luck everyone!

Jason, I thought it would be a nice idea to create a place for contest entries or create a topic where entrants would place links to their works. Or perhaps we can do in this section? Anyway, it would be great to see others entries or their development

In case you have to register, here I am, registering.

And are we allowed to show our entry before the deadline? I only ask because in LMS we weren't supposed to. And do we keep the WIPs to ourselves or start a thread or something?

Not sure why but I'm totally blank on this. Mind seems to be having a brain freeze...

No matter, I'll still try and conjure up some ideas.

hunchback, your own shot ref is fine.

    Now for the required rant...

Not to sound pissy, but I think it's time everybody learned an extremely simple fucking fact...

You shoot ref, you own it, so nobody gives a flying fuck what you do with it.

You lift somebody else's stuff and pretty much use most of it for ref, you're screwed.

If you use somebody else's shots for some minor details like position of a hand, hairstyle, shadow on a nose, warts, or pair of underwear on a much larger and complicated piece of your own, you're using ref in a legitimate fashion. How damn simple is this, people? It's not g'damn rocket surgery!

Use some common sense. If you want to show the Earth in space, you ARE going to have to use reference of the Earth. Your damn memory is just not that good. You trace Miss July 2001 from Playboy and change her hair color, and present the result as your own creation, you're an idiot so get out of here and get a job as an accountant.

    Wait what?
    Multiple entries are fine?
As in, I can submit how many I want?
    Really..

I missed the bit about multiple entries. That settles it then. One a day for the next 55 days and I'm in with a chance...

Not sure if I have a chance of winning but I'm joining in on this because it's good pressure to get to the canvas and get better. Whether you win or not, it pushes your skills and gives you a finished piece to show for it, right? Progress ftw; Good luck everyone! ^^

Weee! After brainstorming a bunch of idiotic and clichè ideas I've finally found something to work on So I'm in. It might still be kind of clichè though...

Is making a thread in here the right way to go get some feedback, or is it better not to show anything before deadline?

I guess people like me would only get better images getting as much C&C as possible, but if it's a bad idea to look like an idiot when asking what the golden curve is when mentioned, I'll refrain

My brain is churning but I still don't have many ideas. I'm hoping that this piece will be like my masterpiece: a piece that I feel incredibly satisfied with, presents true emotionality, as well as having a clever/original/important idea. My artwork always lacks in ideation. I want this piece to change that.

Go for it, Sorky. I spent a week hammering all my best sable brushes into my CD drive to prepare for this, but I still can't make the bastards show up in Photoshop...

Will do then.... I just need feedback. I don't trust my own judgement, sadly enough
