ooh awesome update, I'm really liking the process shots, My favorite part was the first initial block in of the colors, yea it is rough but still my eyes can make out what it is at a glance. I think there was a bit too much blender in the final, and you lost some of those beautiful hard edges/forms that you created in the initial block in.

    Don't stop me likey!! =P

It may be unfinished, but that's a beautiful start. You did a wonderful job observing colors...the only things that take away from the image slightly are the white highlights. Try to use white as sparingly as possible and push yourself to see the colors in the lit areas.

Wow hala, i browsed through your sketchbook and i see significant improvement with the figure. I really like the last figure paintings from ref. They're so nice and loose. Great progress on the fruit as well.

Me too! I think it's just natural. Until you've made like 1 bazillion drawings

Really nice SB, keep it up and you'll be drawing figures from imagination in no time

ooh great variety update! haha that portrait of the stoned chick is awesome, she wanna get high like samson!! I don't think that page was crap at all that you labeled crap page, the lines still look much more confident compared to your previous, just goes to show how much more critical you are of your work and on the road to obtaining better drafting skills!!

the last enviro has this vangoh feely to it, with the wavy indications throughout the composition, nice effect; i think it helps to establish a horizon when doing enviros that way you know where your horizontal lies and then you can decide on a vanishing point and have the corresponding perspective lines; doesn't have to be super tight but helps to show where objects are place or how they sit on a plane.

haha onions i'm in tears, go at it and hit us wif the update!!

Dig the onion! Nice colours so far!

Really impressed with the sketches as well.
Bridgmen really suits you, I see his style and form in a lot of your stuff!

The last digi of the house in good, but I think you'd benefit better from a photo study of just a building a little less warped, you know?

Great work tho, keep it up hala!

Blackdelphin: hi hi I left you a message on your profile about the studies ^^

I'm a happy Hala today. Went to my friend's party, and had the most fun I've had in long time. This also means hala was out of the house for most of the day, not much to post other than a wip of grandmassa's portrait. really dissatisfied with the last one, and so I'm tryin' again, and paying attention to values this time! spent a couple hours so far, really trying to go the extra mile this time (PS: fuck my proportions are off like mad!! D: oh well, practice practice )

next up in the portrait train: snootchy, dwardo, and some others ppls >: 3
