Just read that. Damn. Wonder what the backstory is...

I was once on the receiving end of a critique so savagely nasty, I marched straight out of class to the office and changed my major (sketchbook).

Hmm, I guess my day is ruined. That's pretty terrible. He helped make some great movies.

Hmmmmm! Bit of a disparity bewtween found 'hanging in his room' and 'natural causes' !!??
Loved 'Kung Fu' with a passion as I grew up to it, but please don't tell me we're in for another of those enigmatic, 'how did he really die' scenarios. We have enough of those already.

Wish he was still with us either way. Yes - Iconic.

Worse. It's starting to look like one of those auto-erotic thingies.

I was so disappointed to see that when I did my morning exploration of yahoo news. What a sad loss.

I dunno, it's pretty natural to die when hung

Did it say it was his neck he was hanging by? I think not . . . . .

That was supposed to be the report, but I don't think it's been confirmed or just media speculation. Sad day indeed. He was the best part of the Kill Bill movies.

One article I read suggested it was the cord for the curtains. I find that a little suspect. I would think something like that would snap before killing a man. But...it is Bangkok so anything goes.

..well, it all seems kinda weird to me, but here's a possibility...

Auto-asphyxiation? Kinda hard imagining Mr. Kung Fu himself committing suicide, so, um...maybe he was "experimenting"?

    Anyway, he will be missed

Yeah this story keeps developing. When I saw the article it was "he has have been found died of natural causes" (which is why I hoped they'd correct the grammar...to now he was found naked and hanging by a curtain cord. o_O

Not surprised if it was a suicide. I heard he had a serious alcoholic problem. He will be missed.

    RIP

I just watched Death Race 2000 a couple of days ago. I always get a kick out of him when "Annie" (Simone Griffeth) is telling him he can't kill himself and he says "It's my life's work." Now it's not funny anymore.

That's terrible...I was a huge fan of the Kung Fu tv show. I guess he just couldn't compete with Chuck Norris.

Wait, so apparently he now was the victim of autoerotic asphyxiation.

    What?

    I was shocked reading about him today! I'll miss him. He was so good on Kill Bill. What a slip-up with that news grammar. -_-;

He was 72, old enough to know better.
    How sad, pathetic, and STUPID...

He was found sitting in his hotel walk in closet by the hotel maid.
Naked, with a rope tied around his neck, and "other parts of his body."

He was not depressed, he was filming a movie, was in great spirits.
He just had some time to kill before dinner, and unfortunately, it killed him...

    STUPID.
He influenced a generation of young people, and now comes to this sad, sordid, and ignominous end, alone, yanking his winkie...
Way to go, David...Great footnote to your career...

If he now has any lasting legacy, it might be in the renaming of his form of death...

Auto-erotic asphyxiation is such a damn mouthful, and hard to say quickly or casually.

Now people can just say, "He pulled a Carradine..."

You are assuming that he orgasmed. He may have simply passed out and died before climax...It's a fine line, which is why it's such a stupid way to get off...That would be teh ultimate irony of such a sad end, to die right before you got your nut off...

Why!!! There have to be a 1000 better ways to get off in Bangkok. It's a fitting death I think.
