The Leg Work
Dipping pen texture exercises. Of course this is prior to me getting my hands on some Gillott 303 nibs, so I should do some more pages now and see what results I get!

I love the fact that you have your own ideas and dont just use digital technology. I also like the fact that you are using pen and ink, not used as much as it used to be. You are creating interseting, expressive and vibrant drawings. I also think your use of tone is particularly strong. Good stuff. I use Pen and Ink now and again. I still love Charles Dana Gibson. If you have never seen his work check it out. The subject matter is dated but that is just because of the era he worked in, but honestly, some of his line work is sublime.
Cant wait to see more.

I really like where you're headed with the inking, hope to see more. The variety of line work you are doing with ink is very expressive and appealing.

Hey thanks for dropping by my sketchbook. I love the freedom in your ink drawings.
It says you are located in Syd, but recently there have been a lot of Melbourne shots. Have you relocated or just visiting?
Keep up the good work, I will def check back here often

First of all thanks for taking a look at my skethbook, the work you did here seems hard to improve in any way in this particular style, very specialized, just looking at it raises my adrenaline.
I will probably say a lot of foolishness, but the sharp edges and aggressive style of your figures reminds to Ashley wood and Bill Sienkiewicz to me, and the crosshatch is genious, full of energy.
As a honest critique, I can say that I like a lot more your first drawings than the new ones.

Ahhh great inks as always, and i love all these photos, the one with the raised hands is especially cool.
This one is kick ass. It would be really sweeeet if you can apply this sorta style to your figures?
