any interest in digital painting? would like to see your sketches taken further in traditional or digital, media doesn't actually matter but i get feeling that your ideas are left to stay in your sketchbook

    lovely photographs btw

I do work in digital, if you look around my sketchbook and finished work. Just generally prefer having a tangible product! Here's an example:

You got some good stuff here. very bold drawings. i would say try to slow down and really feel what you are doing. sometimes its so easy to work so fast that you dont allow yourself to really take in the form.

wow love the sketchbook! You've totally inspired me! love the sketchbook and the oil paintings theyre all great.

I do have a question though, which is kinda advice for me... How did you do such a quick and clean conversion between your ink sketches and that digital painting (2nd & 3rd post). How did you clean up all of the ink marks and add color?

Hey, thanks for the good word. Those two digital pieces are bit of an exception, because generally i go through the entire creative process using a single medium, so ink, oil and digital work all start and finish as one piece. With those two i would have taken the ink piece, duplicated it in Photoshop as a Multiply layer and gone to work under it(this was how i worked at the time) and later maybe work over it digitally to create a homogenous look or perhaps reduced the opacity on the top layer. The digital layers inbetween would also have been split up and masked off a bit, but that's a whole other story.

    Take care!
