    Archer

Too much lurking, not enough contribution from me.
So I want to make a character, and I hope I'm doing this right... I'm starting out with just a man, and I want to add clothes, make him look like some bowman/assassin.

    This is my reference:

And the last frame is what I'm currently on. Press "Esc" to stop the frame.

    hello,

My advice here would be to sketch out the guy, like u have done, then make a new layer over the top and sketch in the clothes etc. then start painting, no point in painting the guys stomach and chest etc if they are going to be under clothes is there?

I concur. You should construct and plan everything before going into the final rendering, though the underlying anatomy is well-done.

The right hand (our right) hand should be bigger. You have the placement on the lower part right, but the thumb extends farther then what you have it as.

And ditto on the other two posts. Snazzy, though.

For a start your ref is wrong, you're not going to draw the bow string past your ear.
I suggest you find some reference.
