    Lightbulb K's creative endeavors

    Hello again fellow members

I say again because I've now been away for nearly one and a half year, during which time I've slightly drifted away from what first sparked my interest in these boards back in 2006, creativity, mindblowing artwork and a drive to become the best that I can be. And now I want to start over, getting back on track, taking things a bit more seriously this time around. You may know me as the username WolfBane, but I decided to ditch the screenname i so fondly picked out from an online rts game i was addicted to the few months before joining the boards.

I've been wanting to start with a clean slate, so I wont be posting any old work in this new book of mine, nor will i link it. If you want to look it up I suggest you search for it using the button next to the Quick Links tab, though I would much more appreciate if you could spare the time and bother to comment on the work that I'll be filling these pages with, as my ultimate goal and purpose for making this new book is to improve. And the best way for me to do so, is to get feedback and response on my current work. Thus I don't have much to offer you right now part from what I've been working on most recently, as it's only recently that I've re-ignited my love for conceptart. But hopefully it wont be long until I'll be spewing out regular updates, just like back in the days. ...

Here's a couple of comic panels i did a week ago for experimentation mostly:

    Final:

I might add more, but right now I'm fighting to stay awake, so if I do, it'll have to be tomorrow

Cool stuff man, always liked your work. I looked through your old sketchbook at least once. Good to see that you're back!

(Please don't let it be 1,5 years between updates next time. )

Great stuff you have here, love the colour use plus the darkniss.
Are you working on a compleet comic?

Hah dude I remember your artwork from back in the old days. You were one of those guys a little younger than me, you and Dile, that always inspired me to get my ass back into gear and keep drawing. It's great to see your back and making artwrok, I'm looking forward to see some more of your stuff. Great TC entry by the way

    Re-welcome!
That's quite a re-opening to do! I like your comic experiment, but there's a problem with it. Each panel works is beautifully done and works well individually and I like the fact you start by introducing the environment, but I don't understand the sequence. What is the story?

Leon Ro You're very welcome, and thanks for stopping by mine! And yes, I am, partly the reason why i haven't been around much this holiday, but that'll change now that college's started again.

TheGnoll Sorry I didn't update sooner, but that'll change over the next weeks, i promise, oh, thanks for stopping by
    Enydimon Much obliged ^^

Sorry for my absence, i know i promised more frequent activity, but summer's been really busy for me, got a few projects in the works, so there will be a big update in the not too distant future. Other than that, i've only got this little thing to show for at the moment, start and near-finish, still fleshing it out.

neat work man, diggin the updates and looking forward to seeing what you're working on!

crit wise things i see in the undead with chick piece (apart composition choices, i'd have used a different canvas format, but you probably chose it for a reason) are just a couple of anatomy things, basically where the bones should "poke out" of the skin, to better show structure (esp in the shoulder/clavicle area), the undead guy's head looks a bit small,, and some muscles has some weird attacments, but overall is a pretty cool piece!
diggin the undead wolf thinghy too!

    you'd better update soon

    ciao!

If the light is coming from his hand how come only the right part of _his face is lit up so strongly ? ideally all planes facing towards the light surface reflecting back to your eyes would light up more or less So something tells me that you did the face first without the placement of the hand in place..! that and why only the face is so strongly lit up is the only thing that buggs me..! i really like your rendering ! keep it up =D

Thanks Dile, pretty much true what you said started out as just a facial portrait, but i wanted to add more, and by then i'd already settled with the light on his face, and i kind of liked it, so i had to figure out a lightsource.

I know i promised more finished works, but before i do, another Work in progress, a slight progress shot thing going on, from black and white to overlay to merging the image working with colours. Draenei pin up gal:

s'been a while decided to have a stab at this week's Chow: Junkyard Golem

    "DESCRIPTION

    Junkyard Golem

With no knowledge of who created him or why he's been put on this world, this golem has been wandering around in the junkyard it woke up in about 35 years ago. With a body built out of the junk it lives in, it feels right at home in the abanndoned landfill and has never seen reason to leave.

With only his dog for a companion, it has elected itself as guardian of the junkyard until its master finally shows up to tell it its reason for existence.

When the night is quiet, and any passing human-beings long gone and fast asleep, the golem spends its time sorting debris, smashing the occassional car to a neat square block or finding bits it can add to its own body."
