There's a slight bit of dodge yes , but no burn at all ! .

You are good and have lots of talent and potential. With the new one, the background really doesn't look finished. Perhaps you did this to achieve a depth of field effect, but it really just looks lazy. It doesn't have to look as finished as the foreground, but it should look more finished than it does. Good luck with your art! You could go far.

    Thanks a lot : ).
    Will do .

This one is something rather different than what i usually do . It's a mix between 3D and painting. It was a first try for me . I'm rather happy with it , helped me practice, and it turned out almost exactly as i wanted.
About 8-10 hours in total . Blender for the 3D , and photoshop for the painting postwork .

    Nice work all around.

In the last piece it bothers me the fact that the sea looks flat except for the two waves that frame the image and the small one that rises to the burning mast. During a storm the sea looks restless everywhere with waves of all sizes.

Secondly, the fire should be brighter than the hole in the clouds so it will pull your eye to it. And it should reflect on the sea too.

One can see that you invest a lot of time on your pics and that's always commendable but try doing some really quick ones with just the main shapes without concerning yourself with details. After a while you'll be able to build the main forms and the details will be implied rather than be shown.

    Keep it up

    Thanks a lot !

I've had some different feedbacks saying the same things about the reflection and the 2 waves.I'll sure keep that in mind for the next paintings.
Also , this aspect of brightness in the sky distracts , you are completly right . =).

Well actually , the last ones were made in about 2 hours ... =) .
Specially this one and the one with the blue crystals.
