    Turning Brick Walls into Doors

Hi! This sketchbook is an attempt to keep me motivated. We'll see how it goes.

To start, here's a painting I did for a comic cover:

    Name: mini2.jpg
Views: 5272
Size: 384.7 KB

Next I have some life drawing:

    Name: 1.jpg
Views: 6841
Size: 211.8 KB

Now some quick car design sketches:

    Name: cars.jpg
Views: 5465
Size: 160.5 KB
    Name: unused.jpg
Views: 4984
Size: 115.0 KB
    Name: 9.jpg
Views: 4923
Size: 145.1 KB
    Name: 14.jpg
Views: 4876
Size: 168.1 KB
    Name: 10.jpg
Views: 4610
Size: 149.8 KB
    Name: 13.jpg
Views: 4495
Size: 191.4 KB

This was eventually going to be a postcard:
    Name: 23.jpg
Views: 4465
Size: 350.1 KB

Couple of interior sketches for a comic, the first being a couchette car on a train:
    Name: couchette.jpg
Views: 4864
Size: 61.6 KB

    And the train station:
    Name: station.jpg
Views: 4802
Size: 94.8 KB

And I'll go ahead and throw in some character designs for good measure. These are from a webcomic I did a while back called Orion Xia.

Hey! Small update, will try to post some comic pages and other fun stuff over the weekend.

Starting off with a small zombie drawing...
    Name: smallzombie.jpg
Views: 11130
Size: 201.4 KB

Then I've got some studies of tigers... no stripes just yet, still trying to figure out their general anatomy since I'm not so confident in my ability to draw animals from memory. I need to find a skeletal/muscular diagram of these somewhere.

    Name: tigers.jpg
Views: 10586
Size: 139.8 KB

Painting I'm working on, here's the initial drawing
    Name: spock.jpg
Views: 3771
Size: 113.3 KB

And a quick paint job with photoshop before I start mixing real paints. This is gonna be 18 x 24 when I finish.

I got a good laugh looking at the rocket launcher lady, having a piggy back ride.

Make a sketchbook happy, feed it a tip to improve!

Yes, of course! Huge fan of Big Boss

My avatar is actually this sculpture I did a long time ago...

Thanks for the kind words! I don't update my sketchbook as often as I should, maybe that's why I don't get too much attention...

Thanks! I hope to have some more comic stuff up soon. Haven't had a chance to do any comics lately, too much storyboarding.

Really solid stuff. I especially like those character designs you did for the webcomic. Not often you see a character with 'cheetah' legs. I look forward to seeing more.
