art related stuff in new york June 2009

I'm going to be in new york for a bit longer than a month.
Galleries, Exhibition, Museums, Art events, fancy livedrawing... Anything I have to see while I'm there?
I know there is always a lot going on there, I also think there were some really interesting galleries, but I can't remember any names...

Df. check out Society of illustrators life drawing on Tuesdays and Thursdays, its awesome. There is a real nice show up at the Salmagundi club in June involving Richard Schmidt. Gallery thursdays in chelsea is good for an outing and some free wine (bring single dollars for tips) Museum mile is awesome of course, there is a Caillebotte show in the Brooklyn museum. I think its still up. Id love to hook up, but my time in NYC sadly comes to an end on may 31st... Galleries include Arcadia, Jonathan Levine, Gallery Henoch, but alot of the fun is just going round and seeing whats up. Get the Gallery Guide when you are here, usually free in most galleries. Enjoy man!

Marlborough gallery, they have Claudio Bravo, and Vincent desiderio if I'm not mistaken. Need to be a bit lucky to see it up though.
Also Forum Gallery and Hirshl & Adler. John Morra has a still life show up there now.

But to be fair, imho, you could just spend a month in the MET. That museum is awesome!
And don't forget the Frick, which is basically across the street from the Met. The Holbein's on display there are brilliant!
