@Mawh, thanks! i don`t use lasso tool a lot these days, all these thumbs are done with a hard edged brushes. I am working on a new set of brushes that i`m planning to share in close future. So stay tuned, i`ll explain my methods more in-depth.

@Blinckk, thank you a lot, i wish you the best too
well, these days i am lucky enough and i practice a lot just doing my own work. It is at least 8 hours per day. But besides that i am trying to practice on my own projects.

I also draw a lot in my traditional sketchbook and i think that it is very important to keep balance between traditional and digital practice.
My traditional stuff still looks too ugly to be shared here, but i`m not giving up since it improves my confidence in drawing.

Another thing i find very useful in practice is to vary subjects. Having an engineering mind it was really hard for me to draw organic stuff so i practiced a lot drawing animals, humans.

I am far from being perfect, but at least i enjoy the things i am doing and learning )

If you have any questions, don`t hesitate to ask me.

    Mila Thank you )

lenzerwin i`ll update my brushes soon and share a new link

    niwre_zurc cheers

Cam Sykes cool, looking forward to see some comp studies from you

Metal Fingers Hey Alex, man i miss you... let`s chat on skype one day

isokarhu i`ll explain my methods in-depth and share my brushes..stay tuned!

    matejkovacic ) i don`t know

    daily coffee thank you

    GEB thanks

    Lucdehaan i see, thanks anyway!

    @Blinckk
Sorry, forgot to write you about references.

I don`t have a strong habit of drawing from references.
We are doing a lot of exercises in TAD, drawing from references, master studies and so on.

But most of my character, creature and landscape stuff are done from imagination.

Once i`m happy with the design (concept) i have..i use photos as textures. It makes things a bit easier in terms of time.

But as i said earlier..it is all about keeping a balance.
If you are learning a lot doing studies from refs..do it. But if you are starting to feel that you have hard times to draw without reference, maybe it is time to practice drawing from your imagination.

I hope it all makes sense.

I dont understand. Those colour comps especially on the most recent page, its just so spot on.
The lighting and the brushwork is genrsgesgfnes and your traditional painting is just as ridic.

    Guys,

    thank you for your feedback,
it always motivates me to work harder.

Some of you asked me if i can give any tips on thumbnailing and composition studies.

So i decided to share my process.
Basically i start very loose, using not more than 3 values..
    i create some basic shapes

If the composition looks interesting for me.. i go forward and detail it.
    Basically that is all.

Also i`m trying to practice every day.
Below you can see some of my ideation sketches.

    if you have any questions,
don`t hesitate to ask me, i`ll try to help.

thank you again for your support!
