Meli's Finished *or so she thinks*Art Thread

Right, so I've held off ever putting anything in here, but I'm being brave and starting a thread.

Anyway, the first image is a piece I did for deviant arts Wacom Good Vs Evil: Bring your vision to life contest. Just finished this last night, or rather early this morning. :B

The second image I did a month and a half ago roughly. I wanted to go color with that one but was having difficulty with my values so I ended up desaturating the whole thing, working primarily in black and white with the full intention of color at the end. However by the time I hit that stage, I grew fond of the B&W version.

The first image is just great. The idea comes off nicely and the comp is great. Demon fighting nuns that look like they're ready to kick some butt.

What bothers me in the first image are the nuns' clothes, that look too stiff and plastic-like, even if this was not meant to be a iper-realistic piece... Try to work a bit more on the garments and you'll improve so much a piece that is already good. The demons are missing some highlights here and there, and more yellow reflected on them.
Just a few touch ups !

Somewhat off-topic but didn't the Wacom contest's deadline end last week?
