When I go to the User CP page, I'm getting a list of PMs up top from over a year ago. Also, is the Quick Reply box smaller than it used to be?

There are missing texts even though the links are there. In quick links, user CP, user profile. Also some buttons in private messages don't load.

    I marked it here below:

Thanks...yes we can solve these. I noticed the quick reply too. It may be a speed thing...smaller means less data to load a hundred million times each year...If there is no speed impact from having it larger we will do it. Right now we are doing all we can to optimize. Some of the thumbnails were showing in the thread. Arshes is fixing that though.

We will get this done...plz keep em coming. Double thanks for the input and screenshot too.

I don't know if it's just Google Chrome, but I can resize the quick reply window easily!

avatars, profile images, and referral numbers are not appearing in the user profile pages.

search by tag feature is not working.

also the forum skins would be a welcome addition, and i'd really like if bitmap images were displayed when uploaded as attachments, instead of being links in the attachment manager.

Quick Question: What are referrals? If I get to many is there a punishment, or are they a good thing?

Also, for some reason I was just in sketchbooks and clicking a user's name didn't open the menu to check profiles, websites, etc. Edit: Double checked this and now the dropdown shows, may have been something on my end.

    And thanks Grief.

its anytime someone signs up for the forums and uses your name as referring them to the site.

    Quick Reply box update:
It's in Firefox that it's now smaller. In Safari, it's the same size as it used to be, and resizable. Interestingly, the minimum size is still bigger than the new standard unresizable window in Firefox.

Hmm, Quick Reply box also smaller with Internet Explorer, and I don't seem to be able to resize it.

Grief you're correct. It's the MemberInfo template that needs updating. It's missing more than just what you stated. Because of the "Social Groups" in the new VB there are more tabs that let you add more custom profile fields. Some of those functions you're noticing missing is because the old template doesn't have these tabs! You could put in custom info like "gender" "sketchbook link" "finally finished link" "my tutorials" etc.

In 3.8.2 there are I think 38 templates that need updating according to the Admin Panel. This I wouldn't do immediately due to the customizations. I'd say take one template at a time. Make a backup of the old one, tell it to update and look for your hacks in the old one and integrate them back in. This is something I can do

"There are currently 38 customized template(s) that need to be updated or reverted. Some sections of vBulletin may not function if you do not do this!"

When you're an admin the following need to be updated. You'll see "Moderation" at the bottom. This template needs to be updated because it allows you to now "Delete Posts as Spam" - the second option of deleting posts as spam automatically gives you an option to BAN those users instead of having to go through the older process of going through "User Options" in the memberinfo.

Member info is missing "User Options" - but updating the memberinfo template will resolve this.

Xanachama, I can tell you a few of the new functions:
    1. You can now report PMs someone harassing you through PMs you have a way to let us know now.
    2. Social Groups. This may or may not be integrated since CA has a gallery already.
    3. Better spam detection options.
    4. Podcast Integration
    ...and more...

When you go into the User CP, the Edit Profile link is missing along with some other links that I can't remember. That seems to be the only thing I can find.

Normally there wouldn't be those abnormally large spaces between those links.

Some images in sketchbooks still look small to me. Is that because I use Firefox?

Elwell is this still the case?

I reverted the template since there were no hacks I could see, and you should have a little icon next to the date if you need to change the sorting order. I am not sure however, if you're saying PMs from over a year ago are sorting out of order for you while the rest seem fine.

Yup. I was actually wondering about this, because I occasionally post pixel art and it looked a bit blurry in my browser. After a quick check though, it looks like it is only Firefox. Images attached with the CA uploader look fine in other browsers and seem to get scaled down to around 90% of their original size in Firefox. Weird.

Which flavor of Firefox are you guys using? I know there was a recent update to 3.0.10 like a couple days ago?

Whoops. Looks like Muz is right. False alarm. Thanks!

I honestly didn't even know Firefox had a zoom feature like that. Doesn't seem like something I'd usually miss.

For the last two or three days all the you tube display boxes contain an error message in the screen when viewed from my Xandros Linux desktop 3.0 OS (Firefox), though I can see them fine right now on one of the firm's Windows type machines (Vista) with Google Chrome.

I pretty rarely click on those things anyway, so I'm not complaining, just reporting. Less than 1% of the viewers would probably see that problem, so if it is a hassle to fix that I will understand.

    Ok is this better?

Please note you may not have all the functions listed if you're not an admin/mod but looks like the blanks are gone.

I saved a backup of the original templates. (Sometimes you'll notice the screencaps are blue because I use "Deep" to help me keep track of which browser I'm using and stuff.)

When i try to view someone's profile for additional information, none shows.

For example, where they live, their age, etc. the thing @ the bottom.

Just saying, not a stalker or anything

Yeah this is a known issue with the memberinfo. I'm saving a backup right now so I can update the template and throw the hacks back in.

Ok, I think it's mostly fixed (there's image issues which I don't think I can touch for the new member info). But if you're looking for Thanked Posts - you'll see them in the Statistics Tab. (There's still a bit of an error with displaying the number of thanks but I can fix it later...)

Should maybe make a Block around the User Name next to the profile picture because it's hard to see against the CA background.

Also now you know who stalked you ...you can see recent visitors to your page and leave visitor notes.

There are other things I can slowly fix but it will take time. Backups of templates are made

I don't know if the user albums are gonna work yet... I haven't tested it.

    Awesome.

I had some issues with viewing public profiles a little bit ago but they've been resolved since. Will be on the lookout for anything else that's wonky.

I'm surprised that I'm now getting subscription updates that should have been sent to me ages ago.

    I think that's a good sign.

Ok - just checked out a few of the updates - liking them so far but...

*in the new look userprofile page I'm getting a lot of little blue questionmarks instead of 'edit value' in Safari and in firefox it doesn't look great as the artist's infos and info headings are not spaced well above each other
    Attachment 668402Attachment 668405Attachment 668403
The only other things I've noticed are:

*When adjusting reply window/box in safari it only adjusts to the right but used to keep centered as it was dragged larger.

*This link to manage attachment in my 'user CP' page only comes up with an error page - I don't know what the link is for and not sure if it's a new or not?
    Attachment 668404

*Ah - just noticed while typing this (in Safari as I rarely use any other browser) that the graphics of the options above the reply box start as if they are on the light sandy brown default background of my CA pages but when rolled over with the pointer go a light grey colour:
    Attachment 668406

    Keep up the great work!

Thanks. Yes, the blue question marks are actually broken images. I don't have access to upload the missing images.
They take you to the link to "Edit Value".
