I just finished painting my semi-aquatic dragon and I am putting together a book tutorial right now hopefully in time for Comic-Con. It will go from the first sketch to the last stroke of glaze.
You can email me if you would like to be on my mailing list. I hope you enjoy him.
really beautiful!! Love the design and the textures
Very cool! Very believable too.
Wow, that is well done.
I love the look you got with the anatomy, especially.
Very unique and interesting piece. Great work.
That's really cool and original! Love the paint too.

Marvel/DC Customized Miniatures-check it out
I really like how you turned his wings into feathers rather than just going with the typical bat wings.
Thank you, I wanted a more fin like feel to the wings. I was going for a design that would work in and out of water.
That is a very neat dragon, great detail!
Very cool work!
Very Cool. I like the design.
Brilliant dragon mate
the anatomy is wonderful and the colour scheme makes it see all too possible to be real
It looks very lifelike, like it might just walk off... excellent paint job, and the wings are great!

"I started to see human beings as little lonesome, water-based pink meat, life forms pushing air through themselves and making noises that the other little pieces of meat seemed to understand."
nice design and great paintwork, this brute looks very authentic for some reason. Perhaps its the muscle structure or colors, but it feels more a study of something that that could have been rather than fantastic creation.
I love the musculature and details in the skin and coloring.......but those eyes are really freaking me out. Does it have eyelids or is just really surprised to be the centerpiece of a CA thread??? Don't get me wrong, I am extremely jealous, but those eyes.......
Thank you all I'm glad you are sold on the design. As for the eyes yes he has two sets of eye lids because he is semi-aquatic. He needs to function in and out of water and I was going for that unpredictable "wiley" look.
This is very nice and very unique as dragons go. I like it. But ....I could not help but notice that your last post was almost a year ago.....all those people commented on your work.... and you are just now getting back to them... almost a year later???????.....Dude. Thats just wrong. Show us more, and talk to us...FORUM...lol
