    Hey zach !
It's good to see you posting something :] You have some cool referenced work. Do some more ! And keep a good balance between life and memory drawings, imo. Also grab a good bridgman or loomis, or vilppu book for anatomy, and a regular life drawing class too

and sorry i didnt make it to the last dr sketchy, i received more work and.. i suck at time management... haha. anyway, keep working man !

    hey!

Hey daniel, I appreciate the post! It's okay I didn't make it to the dr sketchy meet either, it was my fiance's birthday ha. Yeah I need to pick up loomis, I have hogarth's and doing Riven Phoenix's structure of man. Working on a bargue drawing right now too. I'll post it when I get that done. See you at the next figure session hopefully!

Hey youuuuuuu ! Glad to see you started a book. like coro says : " TIME TO FUCK SHIT UP" We should try and go to the figure session on the 2nd. You probably work but see if you can take off possibly it's from 11-3pm. Let me know if you want to get together later in the week.

Hey you@!!!!! you should see if you can get off on Tuesday and hit up Dr. Sketchy at 8. Looks like they are going to have some interesting models setup. Check it out......http://www.myspace.com/antiartschool

I'm working less hours now, so give me a call to get together. Hows the cast going by the way?

Hey man you got some pretty good stuff going on here, on the last pose though his legs seem to be a little short, it might help to do a wireframe of him.

    hello

Eugie, thanks! Yeah that pose is going to need a lot of work, its kind of a dynamic pose, he is crouching so thats why they look so short, have to work on them still.

    Figure session

From the most recent Dr. Sketchy figure session, wow what a trip that was. Lighting=terrible, SUPER crowded, and a band was playing jazz-fusion as loud as they can, UGHHH I HATE JAZZ-FUSION. as soon as they post the model pics ill put that up too. He was a big guy, they painted him green and he had blood dripping out his mouth.(Insert motivational life adventure title here) 1/8/2010

    Whoa

Whoa that model from the Dr. Sketchy session is dedicated! That is really cool that he got all dressed up and everything. That must be a ton of fun to draw/paint.

Ohh you didn't miss a whole lot daniel, it was so crowded and loud it almost wasn't worth it haha. We tried to go to the one at the Gilbert community college on sunday but I guess Kevin didn't know the days they did it were on saturday.

Hey man keep up the good work!! Overall, things are looking good in here (except maybe that model - he kinda creeps me out! )

Something you're getting better at is the lower lids on your eyes. Your last post really shows improvement in eyes in general. That was the one thing I was seeing in the previous posts that really needed some attention. The first couple of portraits, the eyeball and the inside edge of the lower eyelid are indistinguishable, but your last few eyes it's much clearer. Do pay attention to how thick that lower lid can be, it's often quite meaty. Some of your eye studies it's still pretty thin.

I know it may seem like a strange thing to nit-pick, but it makes a world of difference - I know, because I had to learn that lesson myself.

Other than that, I'm loving where you're going, and looking forward to more!

Thanks Mal! I definitely see what you are talking about. Those portraits were photo reference, so now I understand how that happens and why photos are bad sometimes ha. Will have more updates soon!

    Stepping it up

It's time for me to get my ass in gear here. Some sketchbooks I've been in lately have started to make me want to crack down. Here's some studies. Need to do more imagination to apply this stuff and some gesture stuff. Soon to come!

couple little nugs o' poop before work and between running errands. trying to work on the mood and my line quality and form. using a solid graphite pencil. my value is a little crappy cause i was trying to do this fairly quickly.
