adamsimons: Totally man, just got to give it a go!
Just Call Me Bruce!: Thanks, i had to google "tapered" lol. AND yes you should totally give COW or CHoW a go its awesome!
MattGamer: Thanks man, Fear + Failure = Progression. Well i nailed the fail part ha ha. Its all good though, you learn more in failure than in success anyway!
skMOP: Very true i was thinking that when i when all crazy with ma brush strokage. I'll figure out the balance eventually.
PaintMyBrain: lol, I have gotten a lot of comments on the bum ha ha
Dang thats like the most love I've ever had at CA... so happy
P.S. I used the little red paint for my DVD Assignment!
Good work on the assignment. Hope you get an A. ;]
And thanks for the critique on my CHoW, you're totally right and I completely forgot about the eyes and emotion sort of thing. Great refresher.
never give up, never give in! take critiques like a grain of sand from those who can't draw and from those who can draw take the critique as you deem best. sometimes what you're doing wrong is totally right for you! everyone has a different path, we just have to persist and keep on drawing!
Bad luck on having no face lol
It's a good thing you put the woman and wolf on a different layer to the background!
Just one more thing, put more colour on that woman!!!(blues, greens. pinks, purples, whatever!)
Oh and happy Easter(mega chocolate day )!
Happy Easter everybody!
Spent my long weekend down the coast surfing and skating, very relaxing
Also started some studies in my lil sketchbook! and was looking at some cartoons from the 1920's and OMG!!! they are so cool! .
MattGamer: Sir yes sir!
vivi: I will! thank you!
JailHouseRock2: good to know! more coming!
teapo:thanks duuuuuude! the 1 imaginary vote means a lot to me, more than a real VOTE! ha ha
adamsimons: mmm need to do some light studies hmm... thanks for the AMAZING insight!
Just Call Me Bruce!: I am fat now... all that chocolate , hmmm more colours, i did do some hue experimentation ages ago, but I've never used it since, WHY is colour so hard!!!
JamesSimons: Now way, we're like in the same boat!
[EDIT]: adamsimons: i sense a connection of failure that will result in AWESOMENESS!
thanks all, and goodnight!
Hey buddy, i like where you're going with your studies. i always end up drawing gore on the sections of studies that aren't filled in as well, haha. I also encourage further study of old toons, that's some of my favorite subject matter. You can typically find $5 dvd sets of 250+ classic cartoons that are pretty awesome. Tons of old b+w stuff thats pure eye candy.
Also, good work on your red riding hood inspired dvd cover, end result looks sharp.
You're doing great, keep up these studies and such, i'll be back for more!
love the anatomy studies and i love what you did with the painting and using it for a dvd cover ha such a good idea only crit is on the figure painting... left elbow looks like its got a weird crease in it but great overall figure
AustenFM: thanks for dropping by man, i was actually inspired by your stuff, pretty much the reason for me buying the a5 sketchbook. love your style. old toons, comics all that jaz, very interesting media.
prsnsweeney: yeah the elbow looks gay ha ha, thats why i needz to do these studies ha ha
MattGamer: thanks bro, more more MORE!
Having a lot of fun with these studies, hands next...

[S K E T C H B O O K]
love the anatomy studies keep it coming
Liking the anatomy studies!
One thing you can do as well as try the anatomy from your mind, is to draw a photo as anatomy
I know it's kind of expensive, but do you have an anatomy model? This is the one I have, and while I haven't used it much yet, it's real quality!
man I love anatomy and ronnie

adamsimons: thanks for the links very cool
Just Call Me Bruce!: aw cool, but yeah I'm poor ha ha
teapo: thx bro
Soz I started my drawing class a couple of weeks ago, finally got my moleskin and by far the greatest pencil of all time. Really amazing to use, mmm quality equipment makes a huge difference. I look forward to getting a Kuretake No. 13 Fountain Hair Brush Pen in a few weeks, do some mad as ink work. Should be fun.
MattGamer: Yes I have some catching up to do!
Some exercises on perspective and cartoons. 1. one point perspective, 2. two point perspective, 3. two point freehand perspective. 4. Cartoon facial construction. 5. Cartoon character construction.
osnap... that kuretake pen is so expensive but oh so sexy also.... that bed study looks comfy, i want to sleep in it u.u Zzzz
but in all seriousness, you're doing great bro! tackling that perspective like a BOSS!
good work on the studies!
if you get a chance check out the carl dobsky perspective videos, its the clearest explanation of perspective i've come across.
the scott robertson video are also very cool.
keep up the toon studies, being able to build up drawing with form helps a lot, with a lot of other subjects and styles
