I'm Frédérick, 22 y old male, semi Belgian semi French. I've stoped my boring Marketing studies and started a few months ago Digital Arts & Entertainment program where they teach us 3d - concept creation skills - programming
Checking all your great art work motivated me to start a sketchbook too. I'm a beginner but don't be to soft on me, I need the crits
I'll be posting mostly my school assignments but i'll try to do some free work to. And I don't realy now how to do the attachment thing to post work so i'll check that out.
So enough talking, here it commes.

Started to paint a bit, this is one off my first digital paintings so it will probably take me for ever to finish it, but I enjoy doing it so it's not realy a problem, there's only the beautyfull weather that may tempt me to take a longer break, comments welcome

nice stuff i think you need to work a litte on your colors, it looks to me like you dont change your color when shading, and that dont looks realistic. paint from some refs and try to remember how the color works

Hello Puppet. Cool you dropped by. And thx for the comment. I will work on it.
I didnt know you had a sketchbook here!?
Nice work btw and good progress.
Maybe you should sketch some more. It will help you improve your style and give your work more personality and 'karakter'.
Keep it up, you're doing a good job!

nice sketches here. i like the face study, which has good skin tones (counting that your ref photo was very yellow. it feels like you compensated for it which must have been quite painful)
its always useful to draw the skull with a similar expression in full flesh, but what happened? it looks so flat which also happened with the screaming face.
keep it up. i like your 3d renders

Dude, I saw some of your stuff in school on the "opendeurdag" (english word for that? ) / infoday
I saw the rocker, and the mechanical arm (<- which looks awesome)
What year of DAE are you in?

thx, yeh it's always nice to see your own work presented at infodays :p, certainly for someone without any artistic background, I'm at the end of my first year and in my last post you can see some wip of final assignment ccs and 3d

Hi thanks for stopping by my sketchbook!
Love the 3d car, looks very life-like and cool
about your indian character, I think it would greatly help the illustration if you defined a light source or two, to help give the painting depth. It's a little flat right now. a great way to study how to make a good light source would be to study some MMA photos:
Maybe a lightsource like these two photos:
Hope it helped. Keep drawing!
