    Man oh MAN!
Look at all the gestures! You are really going to town here.
I also like the watercolours pieces. The guy could use a bit of darker shades IMO but the design is very cool. Keep it up!

Thanks everybody for looking. Gonna try some more watercolors soon.

For my senior project I'm doing a bunch of concepts for a video game story. Here is my start on the main character:

I'm also starting a matte painting. Here's the color sketch:

    Hi!
Nice stuff! I like the gun designs but they look too fat around the handle. Would be kinda hard grabing it.

The latest updates for the character concepts is brilliant. Take care of his arm, it is really long compared to the rest of the body in the character sheet. o_O

CUKIERass: thanks man! I'm gonna try to keep doing some 3d models all semester.
B-Man: Thanks, that gun handle is definitely in my to-fix list for that character.
Huey Yeng: Ah, I was wondering about that but wasn't sure. Thanks for the input.

    Here are some figure drawings:

Gosh! You have been busy since I was last here, and all good. Give the Z Brush guy a proper bottom.

I didn't think it was possible to be called an artist when you have nothing to say. It's like being a writer who publishes individual words as books and expects to be praised for it.

    Really nice updates Liffey!! The figure drawings in post#130 are looking really good. Have to agree with B-Man on the handling of the pistol. I love the overalll 'chunkiness' of the weapon so maybe an option to keep it balanced might be to;
    i. use the current handle as a form of hand guard protecting a thinner handle located just behind the trigger guard. (On the 3rd render it looks like you already have the base for this handle just behind the trigger guard.)
ii. cutting out a central slice of the current handle would allow access to the thinner handle.
    Just my 2 pennies worth!!
Keep up the excellent work Ian.

So THIS is what happens if I'm absent from CA for a while - hot fudge, you've gotten GOOD. I'm feeling very ashamed of myself right now for not having been drawing properly for over three months - this is one good kick in the bum to get me going again.

Anyways, I am very much in love with your shading work. The charcoal ones are beautiful, very plastic, and the pencilling in the last post is great. I like the body hair, I think that's hard to achieve without making it look like a person has little strokes all over them. The bottom right one does look rather flat still, but I'm assuming it's not finished yet?

I'm not knowledgable at all concerning CG stuff, so all I can say here is something like "awesome". I do like the different mask designs! Have you ever looked at Japanese Kabuki theatre make-up? That might also give you some inspiration.

Also, I really like the facial sketches in the first post on this side, you can see his character straight away.

Sorry for not having been very active in the recent past, you'll hear more from me again!

your sketches from post 135 are the best work youve done yet. I love how well you draw the hair on his arms and body and it add alot to the sketches, making them stand out and look real and intimate. Keep it up mate!

B-Man: Thank you! Thanks for stopping by
witcrack: Thanks man, glad you like it!
Turbosnail: Thanks! I've never actually used Sketchup, but I'm planning to give it a try this semester. Unless that goes really well I'll probably use Maya with a bit of ZBrush.
