Some cards I made for Illustration 3. We have to do three cards per week, each set in a different style.

Lateman:Thanks for looking through. I definitely agree about needing to work on colors, but is there one big specific fault that you're noticing?

Here are some characters designs I'm going to eventually model... if you could critique in this thread, that would be great!

Here are some sketches from the past week. One from my main sketchbook, the others from my little pocket sketchbook I carry around. My pocket sketchbook is intended for observational studies... I can never keep at those too long before my mind wanders off. :/

Cool sb! Really like the sketches, but keep up those studies... no matter how boring they get some times

Thanks for stopping by, JailHouseRock2! Yeah... it's a bit tougher hitting the books now that school has started. No excuses for not doing life drawings though. :|

Here's the second card for "Survive". Not exactly the same style as the last, but close enough:

Here's the third card for this set, again the style changes a bit, oh well. Might fix it after sleep (edit: now fixed a little bit)

Heya Liffey, thanks for dropping by my sketchbook! You've got some nice work in here, and I'm always happy to see studies. The Loomis is really starting to show in your figures. At least drawing from my own experience, I'm gonna advise holding off on the speed paintings and actually getting outside to do some landscapes. There's really a lot to learn just by observing the light and color, and the longer work you do outdoors is gonna translate into the speed paintings with practice. Check out Nathan Fowkes' watercolor work, he's got a blog with that kind of thing. Keep up the good work .

Here's a photo collage I did for one of my classes. About 10 photos were used.

cubesoflard: Thanks! There is definitely much more drawing to come!

kittens: Thanks, and thanks for stopping by. I appreciate it very much!

Here is an assignment I did for class, to create a coffee label. In the picture you can see my mom, my dog and my cat. They're always fighting... so it's kind of sarcastic.
