Hello, My name is Alex
This is my first post at ConceptArt, and i hope it will be a frequent sketchbook of sorts.
Who am I?
I am a photoshop image editor I have a Diploma in Graphic Arts and some fine art knowledge from highschool.
Why am i Here?
I am amazed at the talent on this site
I want to learn how to be a better creative digital artist.
I want and welcome all input, i am here to learn!
What do i know so far?
I know photoshops abilities inside and out,
I know enough of painter to get around and paint with brushes and layers
I have a tablet and set up to paint!
ok this first one was from memory, no subject in hand, just a woman i saw in line to get coffee that day and painted later. I really wanted to capture the hairstyle she had, tattoo on the neck and the rad leather jacket she had.
I tried to follow a lot of the stuff i have read on the website. brush opacity, colour blocking and building lights and darks, background subtraction.

I would love to do a series of krump dancers sometimes soon.
The movement created by this style of dance is almost impossible to convey in still form.
photoshop, painted on top of a photo of a girl dancing for the form and added my own anatomy and everything.

Prison Break cast
I tried to capture the cartoon ikeness of a few of my fav. characters, was going to do Mahone but my hand got tired.
I am not sure why i choose this style, i just started with a orange circles, shaped the outline, drew the main features in black and just let the rest flow creatively.
I like how it turned out tho.

Hey mate ! thanks for droping by my sketchbook !
Your digital work is good ! The paintings are very good but i think there are too many black lines that define the painting.. try to define your paintings with more value .. and less black lines .. I think that will make your digital paintings much more realistic.

Memorial day gift
felt like doin something to remember the americans fighten for all of our freedom past and present.
one of my favourite war movie poses. buddy just lost his commander i think.
This is the quickest painting iv done so far, im getting faster and more accurate.
As critiqued above, i tried using no black lines to start and did my best to use value to power shape.
Lest we forget.
