Photostudy is looking coolio man. Big improvement digital wise. Overall a big improvement. You're really hitting it hard man. Do make sure you're not going pillow shading like you kinda did in his arm and you kinda forget to draw the arm muscles in the elbow area. I like the vomit addition.
Good work on the moleskine as well. I'm always to afraid to study in my moleskines so yea you got balls lol. Just make sure you do enough stuff from head after studying and apply thaaaat shit. Go get em tiger.

Still having a hard time seeing the actual drawing. Your scans are horrible lol. But yea from what actually exposes itself it looks pretty damn bitching. Good to see you studying Hogarth and all that. Will surely help a lol as long as you're sure to imply all the sexyness he gives you. Your line quality is also greatly improving but make sure it's not on the cost of porportion. Frankly that is more important. i really like one of the weird monsters you drew. Anyway keep going and get your proportions more accurate. I always like to measure all the body parts according to the size of a head.

Hell yeah mate, nice updates as always! you seem to be getting them proportions down better this time, which is really goooood. THe guy puking black stuff, he could use more stronger expression, it looks a bit like: "oh golly, what is this black stuff coming from my mouth in projectiles? Must not be very healthy!" Also, use some radiant red when painting skin to make it glow (that ofc depends on the lighting...) Carry on!

hey Ryanoir! hehe 'am I getting worse?'
dont worry; that should be the feeling you get just before a major breakthrough. just keep at it, and look for what's bothering you about your work. soon as you find out what.. and how to fix it, you'll be better then evah!

i would say working on your proportions is among the top things you need to work out. also i dont think you should be working with colors so soon, you should first understand values. oh and that drawing took like 8 hours im not to happy with it

your studies are definitely helping, have you thought about trying to work some more line weight and variance into your pencils? feather a line out to lose an edge, darken spots around cross contour lines to imply a little depth etc.. and like Krato said, draw more on those pages! keep it up though man, all the work is paying off.

Well I'm in a bit of a hurry to draw out what I'm talking about but later tonight I'd be more then willing to talk about it on msn or yahoo or aim? Basically though I'll try and describe these things in words, feathering lines implies that you ease up the pressure as you go through the line, kind of like having 'other dymaics' set to pen pressure in photoshop. I usually start feathering lines when you start from a dark space, say if a line is coming from underneath a cross contour line (will get to in a bit) to a point where it may be lost in light, feather the line to a really light one where you start losing it and form a bit of a lost edge, then bring it back to a darker line as you start to describe the form again. Cross Contour lines are contour lines that not only describe the edges of something but break off from the edge and go across the form to help describe it more. BAH, I'm finding it really hard to describe these things in just words. I'll dooooo up a little drawing later on tonight, if you have aim hop on, mine is KingKonstad, or send me a PM and we can get errthang sorted out.

it's nice to see you filling your sketchbook with so many studies. you understand that studying life is where you will get better. not going on your own tangents of art. although keeping the fire alive in your daily art drawing can be filled with imagination, just don't ever forget those studies.

in one page where you asked, "am i getting worse?" no you're not. everyday you draw and put pencil/pen to paper you are learning far more than another artist who is wasting their day on a video game. the more you draw the better you get. there's no way you will get worse from now on. keep working hard and keeping positive! have fun with your arts and never give up!

Good studies! I like the mouse one. Try to be more confident when putting other coloured highlights , the local colour idea is one of the things that should be overcome.. Keep with anatomy, be careful with the cranium (it looks too small in your model studies).
Anyway, it's nice that you're working hard and improving! Keep at it!

you're in brisbane yeah? you should see if you can get to the new salisbury studio and do some classes there. It will do wonders

Keep up the studies and keep pushing to get your proportions right each time. don't settle for less!
