Liking everything so far, some critique towards your style: each image should be less saturated and more crystal clear. Try some tutorials from environment/creature professionals and learn how to avoid blotching, murkiness and washy effects in your color schemes. If these were meant to be vaguely drawn on purpose as quick sketches then never mind.

Diggin what you have up so far. I'm just going to agree with the above comment; everything seems to kind of wash together. For me I think its more because there don't seem to be any real contours for things, and they are a lot more impressionistic. This might be because they are speed paintings/sketches, though.

you have some interesting things going on, but I think you may be going for the textures too fast. Your anatomy needs some work (most of us need to work on that), though your lighting seems pretty nice. You should really try taking your time and really rendering out some stuff before diving into the really textured brushes.

Either way dont stop drawing and keep up the work.

I am currently looking for a mentor to help me improve my sketch book. Either that or lots of crits and suggestions to help me improve my skills.

I love everything so far, especially the environments.
As said before, anatomy could definitly be worked on a bit, but you have a good grasp on lighting and color.

    Keep it going.

I think it's good that you're doing digital studies, they don't look bad at all. Just remember to start out simple and then worry about the fancy stuff. Also, you should do a lot of anatomy studies, and draw from life too. Pencil and paper work would be awesome to see.

Great start to your sketchbook indeed!
From looking at the first few images i was going to say that you should work on refining the images a bit more as they are a bit blurred, if thats the word. However you seem to have been working on that in your latest posts. I really like your rendering on the apple and the gesture work, going good so far keep it up

It looks good! My only problem with it is that in some places there isn't a great difference between the shadows and highlights but that could just be the lighting in the reference you used. I do like it though, its very good for an hour

Cool stuff man! Definately on the right track. Remember that an eye pupil is not one solid color it also reflects light a bit and has some color graduations. Be sure to add that in the latest study. Read you are studying loomis be sure to also check his book on faces and study the face proportions will help you improve even more!
