Hey everyone, I've been at the Next Gen Atelier for a while now and thought it was time to start one of these. Anyway it seems like a cool place to track progress and get some feedback.
The first 2 are some cast drawings I did a while back and then a drawing of a fetal skull.
The digital still lifes were done for James Kei and the same goes with the kitchen corner.
Thanks for looking everyone and I'll hit up the scanner and start photographing more drawings and paintings soon.

Here is a cast painting I did. Also a few quick oil sketches. These are really helpful for learning color mixing and putting down an image quickly. All of which I'm still trying to figure out haha. Finally, a painting of a teabag that I did a while ago. Everything in the painting is done life size. All of these are oil on panel, except for the pear sketch which is on prepared watercolor paper.
more to come and thanks for looking. (thanks to Sway West for letting me use her camera)

localfathead - thanks, I really appreciate it.
troubador - haha thanks. Oil painting is crazy. I don't really think about brushwork much so its cool to know you like it.

ama - i sit next to you every day...and that is our secret...or now people know... i love your work too!
lasseheuer - thanks, I actually think seeing colors and tones is a weaker point of mine.
pinflux - thanks man
tigermilk - glad you like it
blue severin - haha thanks man! I do my best to bring the best flavor i can every time.
sourgasm - thanks dude, here you go.
mock - thanks a lot. Really appreciate it.
Diego - thanks man. I actually didn't start digitally painting till I got to to the atilier and had very little oil painting under my belt so its nice to see you are diggin' them. As for time I'm not sure how long exactly the still lives were. They were done a while ago but I remember the kitchen was done in 2 one hour sessions. I never finished it unfortunately.
Puck - glad you like it! It is one of my favorites too. I hadn't seen it done before anyway (although i'm sure it has been haha). It was about 2 hours and never finished. thanks!
archipelago - Thanks, I'll do my best to keep posting.
Thanks for all the sweet comments. I'll just post a few concepts for now. A few characters done for a project here and an environment. I've got a few sketches, alla prima portraits, etc., things i'm trying to get ready to post soon so i'll try and get that done. Thanks for checking it out. Crits welcome.
I have to say that your work is both inspiring and a little intimidating. How much time did the first drawings take?
