Wow, that is awesome! Can`t critique on old stuff, so I will wait for something newer ^_^ But I am still learning, too.

@Traveler: Thank you! i'll try to post as many as i can =)!
@anjyil: you're right.. i just starting again to use this site(i don't understand it completely yet.. but sometimes i browse reading some information around here :B!).and yep! we're always learning ^_^

    ..just yesterday i read this:

"I have not truly begun mentoring yet. It took me a while to find a mentee.
It was more difficult than I thought. The thing is, I want someone who is displaying some dedication. There are an amazing number of people who either have just joined CA or have been around for a while but have not posted hardly anything. Nothing makes me more wary than a join date of half a year ago with 10 whole posts to their name. If I am going to invest the time to teach someone I'd like to see some initiative.

So for anyone searching for a mentor who may be reading this. Get a sketchbook and start posting as much art as you can. It looks really good to the guys(and gals) searching for students. "
    By Chance here: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=109525

..so I get noticed that i needed to show all my work to get more feedback.. even from sketches(i used to think only about critiques from more finished work :B!), so since this moment i'm going to start to show all what i do XD! ..just because i'm always drawing! lol

I have a work not related with Illustration, but I'll try to post a draw for every day^^
..well! i'm talking too much..so HERE WE GO!! lol

    19-mayo-2010, Something i did in the subway(this morning) :B!
*it lost some tones *crappyscanner* =/!

That is a great point about mentors. I am with a mentor now, and have seen several students come and go (well, figuratively speaking---it`s all online). That dedication and grit is key, and the more you have of it, the more your mentor can help you.

now we see some stuff from you ^_^ The proportions look really good, and the expressions are very nice. One thing I notice is that they look a little stiff, kind of like they are squarish. Trying adding al ittle bit of curve to your lines. Is that in Pen? (subway drawing is fun! I did some of those, but people move too much )

yep, you're right.. sometimes it's a little bit difficult for me to draw more "emotive" expressions or give them more natural movement.. i'll try to work more on that! thanks! ^_^

And yep! i use a mechanical pencil with blue color :B!(i get used to work with red or blue, ..it's a kind of technique to work with traditional inks and then use digital colors :B![it looks more clean]). In the subway i have more problems with other people that walks in front of my "model" or in the "pick" hours when it looks like a sardine's can :B!

For expressions, it just takes practice. Use a lot of life models and you will get there ^_^

I agree, it is annoying when something gets in your way--even for a moment! But if you choose just the right spot to sit, you are fine ^_^ My own rule of thumb is to not draw during rush hours anywhere. Just not worth the hassle

Hi. Nice start here. Maybe you could benefit from Loomis and Bridgman books. They are very good to start learning about the human figure. Right now I'm on it too.
    Keep posting!

    Good work!
in your model studies, the head, although quite well proportioned, looks a bit small sometimes. Try to keep it in mind. Also, the little thumbs are interesting. Try to not use one value for the house, one for the road, etc, but to use one for all the shady parts of the picture, another for the darkest shadow area, etc. I mean, often the value range of the image is not in concordance with the different things you've put in it.
Anyway, good work! Keep at it

    Hi there!

@Abrodos: you're right.. it was my first time working in that size, so it become a little bit difficult for me to keep the proportions :B!(i'll be more careful the next time^^); I've done more thumbs now.. and paid more atention to the values ! thanks for your advices^^

    26mayo/01junio(2010)
and well.. I'm trying to study more theory and don't repeat the same mistakes :B!
I think that i've improve a little bit the value and composition..(yeah! i know that the thumbnails are still too grey.. but i got noticed about that after scanning them =(!).

As always.. C&C are always welcome, any advice for improving is really apreciated^^
    Have a nice day!
