It's cute and erotic, which shouldn't go together in this image. The castle/mountains, should have some else going on in them to help distract the viewer from the large dong parapets. I like your colors, and I enjoy whats going on in the image. Lastly, but the tiger looks a lot like Bubastis from Watchmen. But I don't know if I'd fault you on that, you're making a cute magic tiger. Unless you were drawing directly from Watchmen? Overall, I like it, keep up the good work.

Hi Corspufo and thank you for your comment.
Seriously, I didn't even know there WAS a tiger in Watchmen... I've been looking a lot at Khan from the old Disney classic 'the junglebook'.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "The castle/mountains, should have some else going on in them to help distract the viewer from the large dong parapets" but that might be because of my limited english...

lol...erh...well, last I looked down my penis didn't look like that but I can see what you mean. It was not intentional, and though I admit they also look like mushrooms they were supposed to be plant-like jellyfish things...

But if that is really what people see I guess I have to change it before printing it in a childrens book eh?

Well, I'll post a less offensive jellyfish-scape soon...

Something doesn't need to look exactly like a human penis to be phallic...and those are definitely phallic. I wasn't bothered by them, but I can definitely see how someone would be drawn to that conclusion. I would consider some variety to them (if they are "jellyfish trees" then maybe make some of the tendrils/branches away from the main body and moving/fluttering in the wind).

I'm gonna disagree on the picture being 'erotic'. I didn't notice anything until you guys mentioned it.
    Dirty bastards.

I think there's a technical problem with the girl looking straight to the right side, when the firework thing appears to be way in the background.

Imo, the perfectly vertical line created by the firework breaks the composition, I would've had it at a slight angle.

I agree with hunter - I didn't even notice it - I first thought of mushrooms. But I guess the mind sees what it wants.

I really love the colors you used a very cute image

Ok enough with the dirty talk
I appreciate your comments and corrected the mushroom-jellyfish-trees and removed the shooting star.

    Thank you

    Now, see?
Regardless of whether or not you saw anything phallic....wouldn't you agree that the redesigned background is better? Critique received and success achieved as far as I am concerned.

    Nice painting

    I agree!
AND I have learned my lesson... whenever I think my piece is finished, I'll post it in the 'work in progress section' first.
    Thank you CA!

A side note: I was well aware that there was 'something phallic' in my painting... strangely enough there seems to be that in most of my paintings and I guess in most fantasy illustrations... or am I wrong?
Mine were simply too graphic I guess...

    Cheers.

i agree that the second picture looks better with these new mushrooms....but to be honest...i havent seen any phallus in the first picture^^ and im a girl, who have bad influences in such things XD

but they now look more like "finished" then before^^

im missing the red star....i know she wasnt looking in the correct direction for that star, but i think now is some color missing....how to make another red meteor just like a falling star?instead of going straight up?

Regardless of phallicity (phallousness??) , the new background is way better...great work! Maybe tone down the darks slightly on the jellyfish pillar that's rising near her head, though? It's stealing my attention more than it did before, for some reason.
