holy smokes! these're gorgeous!! i dig your ideas, my only nitpick would be, i don't know where the naked chicks come into play within the context of your theme. on the other hand, who doesn't like naked girls? i think you render and compose quite well... and were i able to attend your show, and had moneys to spare, i'd pick one up in a heartbeat

best of luck at the show

Awesome work, reminds me of James Jean, the fine pencils. I can't deal with pencils myself, i make too much of a mess!

    ahhh thanks homies!!!

no classes this year cam, maybe next year though

Here's some more bits and pieces.
It;s funny, the less seriously i take this shit, the more fun i have and the more I actually like the results. I'm caring less and less about the perfect image these days, and just trying to let it flow.

First up just playing around more with this one.

    red stuff, pencils + acrylics

pink stuff , quick oils sketch.

    CHEERS!!!!!

Really lovely stuff. About the not trying to make a perfect image- I think that's a huge personal development for the fine artist, when they determine their own artistic values rather than what others might subscribe to. I think the too "perfect" images can often fall flat because they began to appear more mechanically produced than human. It reminds me of a something I heard a furniture maker say recently, he was saying that dovetail joints can be cut very quickly with powertools and a mechanical jig, but that he still finds the hand-cut ones superior aesthetically, even though they will always have slight variations. He believes that the small shifts in dimensions from one dovetail to the next gives a more animated, dynamic look, even if its too subtle to realize consciously.

I love the way you combine abstract elements with the human form. These are beautiful and extremely elegant. Yeah, even the baby dude with stuff coming out of its brain is pretty elegant, I'm serious.

Been a reall pleasure browsing through your work. So inspiring. Love how you imply the hair in the second image. Absolutely stunning. Wooah.
