We're going all out on this one.
Subject will be a Giant-Mech Docking bay.
The location is a Moon based military facility set in the distant future.
final product will be three Full rendered pieces and three pages of concept sketches...
first piece- interior of bay
Secound piece- exterior of Bay
Third piece- bay in action
the three pages of concept sketches will show how various aspects of the docking bay work. as well as any other things that don't go into the final renders.
The mechs can vary in size but have them hover in the 45-50 ft range.
First time I've done anything this ambitious so it'll be a learning experience. I'm up for a good challenge though.

Sorry man, work came up, and work is more important unfortunately.
Having failed to complete the requirements of our match, I forfeit. I hope you finished, cuz I am really looking forward to seeing what you came up with.
I do intend to finish this, and post everything I did (I must have 20 pages of ideation laying around waiting to be scanned) once it is all cleaned up, but I just don't have the energy to do it all tonight.
Here is the pencil sketch for my final images:
here's a link to a larger version
here's an incomplete paint of the third image (interior in action):
The concept was that a hangar on the moon would have to be heavily fortified or mostly subterranean to protect it from meteor impact. Therefore only launching tubes are visible, and the main comm tower and defense tower are retractable. I don't know how easy it is to read all that just from the final pencils, but I have sketches to go with it.
Come on Retro, get ugly now. :dead3:
