    That Frazetta study RAWKS!

The work in progress below it looks pretty cool. I like her loose limbed pose and wardrobe.

You asked for feedback: Colors: I know you said you were finding that a challenge. I wonder if adding a spalsh of color to her costume...mabe a complementary to the background as an idea? Or some adjacent yellows/golds?

Also the background on the girlie reads kinda pink on my screen...I wonder if moving it into a deeper red would add some POWER to the image?

    Anyway...it's looking good...so I'd keep after it!

Cool knight! You've got some good lighting going on there.

That knight is a big leap forward! Value is greta color's a re nice, and the mood is tehre also, but ( there's always a but -.-'' ) He has some issues with form.
The perspective on the top of his helmet and the bottom of chestplate is a bit off, altho it's still in progress it's worth to point that out early.

HAve a great day my friend, ba bye.

Hell yeah Danny! I'm proud of you!! I hope for you the books will be seen by lots of people all over the country (/world?). I did a logo for a Metal band four years ago and yesterday I've seen that two fans already have that logo that I made tattooed, this is an awesome feeling man, incredible!

The second sketch in your last post looks good, pretty dynamic, alive.
The first one looks like good muscle studies, man they pay off pretty much! I guess that's what I have to do next after getting the human head / face done well. Study study study ;D
And the last one looks good but I think you are getting in too much details and you're not zooming out / get / keep distance to your image. Maybe flip it sometimes or zoom out very far - that's what helps me, which doesn't mean it helps you, too. But just try it out more often. The progress is insane. Look on all our page one. That's what I mean. I believe in us all man. Like Icecold does, too.

You and me... we both should finish our started work, isn't it like that? Just ordered some books like Art and Fear and a lot about Light, Colour and Shadows. I'll be rushing, roooaaaaawr!!

Anyway keep it up my friend, keep it straight through whatever it may take!

    Best regards.
    Flo

    Heaven and Hell?

    yo yo Happy new year!

[B]Dark_Eyes[/B ]wow thanks but I'm truly no where near 5 stars mate
Icecold Thanks duude, happy new year and full of good art and peace.
    LtPlissken Thanks mate, peace

There is something I wanted to lay out before I go on with art, I wanted to share something here that not many people take seriously these days and as outdated and "unmodern" it may sound we as human race need God today more than ever. there are rumors about world ending and so on I donno if any of that is true but you cannot ignore that the world is going through some serious changes the past few years, economy is headed to be the worst in history... and its global, the FDIC of America is bankrupt which means the banks are not covered if something goes wrong and you lose all your money, US is in around $200 Billion debt, Europe is in crazy debt as well more than the US, 2011 broke the record of natural disasters in the US 89 to be exact, The US are getting ready to move their troops to Australia which indicates that the US is getting ready to whatever China and Russia are planning, North Korea have a new leader which will probably play an important role in the future, if you did not know North Korea is a communist country ruled by a dictator that 23 million north Koreans see as God and pray to his pictures, these people have no internet no cable TV no connection whatsoever to the outside world, and the scarry part is NK has the worlds 4th largest army and nukes and etc etc... now what all this means? it might be the last days and it might not, but as suprising it will be for you to hear this, the Bible prophecied all these events to come to pass just before the Rapture and the second coming of Christ.
It is very important that you guys know that I am not a religious Zealot or anything like that in fact I'm very cautios and skeptic regarding everything, but I found out that the bible is the true word of god and both old and new testament complete each other with perfect synchornization unlike any other book of any other religion, actually believing in God and Jesus is not a religion it is a relationship with God something you develope over time just like you do with your earthly father and thats what most people do not understand.
I really cannot lay all the proofs here and show verses because it is not the place but I do urge you to read at least the gospels which is about the life of jesus in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and decide for yourself.
Think about it when you die where will you go? you dont care? you dont believe in Hell? thats fine but at least see what the bible has to say about it, it is not worth taking the risk and not truly knowing the turth about Heaven and Hell and what god has to say about it and our purpose on earth.
I'm sorry if this might offend some of you but I feel it is necessary to share this knowledge.
If you guys have any questions please send me a PM I will love to explain more in details.

alright now that I got this off my chest lets talk art!
I'm still working on the book commission and I did not like the style it was heading, it was too realistic for a kids book so I went bak to the drawing board and loaded up some of Glenn Keans old sketches and some Rapanzul screen shots, this style is totally new to me and I spent the first hour just failing so bad and than it got better which I can actually show. some of it mine and some from ref.

Hey Danny my friend, wish you a good start in 2012 and a great year

I read your text above and what can I say? For me there has never been a 'god' - but at least SOMETHING. In my opinion everybody has their life in their own hands. I didn't wanted to be forever the loser I've been for years and I needed to find some strengh and power which I found in my real friends, family and some books like "The Power" and "The Secret". No matter what anybody does think of those books but one thing is crystal clear: HEARTS CAN ALWAYS CHANGE. YOU CAN ALWAYS CHANGE. IN EVERY DIRECTION YOU WANT TO. Don't wait to feel healthy or feel good until x. Just BE happy and FEEL healthy and YOU WILL BE.
The whole planet changes very much and it's actually a disaster what's in those countries where the people strictly believe in the worst god figures that could possibly happen to them.
People laughed at me because I offered that I believe in true love. That everybody meets anybody some day who'll be able to offer EVERY feeling etc.

    Good studies man.

Charmer thats what most of the people in theworld think that if you are a good person you will be OK and if you believe in God that good deeds and being good will be acceptable to him, others think other things there are thousands of beliefs today but none of them are really true to what the Bible has to say, we cannot be accepted to God by our good deeds because... all of righteous acts are like filthy rags. (Isaiah 64:6)
The bible teaches that... all have sinned (Romans 3:23) and the... wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
it says in the 10 commandments do not commit adultry but did you know that... anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. (Matthew 5:28)
Read the Gospels man you will be surprised at what you'll find.
    And btw thanks for visiting

    Justyna Thank you

Hayden Zammit I do remember you from somewhere, good to have you here mate

I have been sketching a lot but its nothing worth showing just gesture practice and anatomy and heads same o same o you know, so I am basically getting close to finish this illustration and I was wondering if any one can give me some pointers or some other cool stuff I can add to her? I really enjoyed working on this characters I especially to my surprise enjoyed working on all those belts and buckles and creating that leather feel to her wordrobe. as much fun as I had it is probably one of the last illustrations that I will create that has to do with witchcraft and all that, as it is not sending the message I want to send, as I am learning more about God I feel like I need to bring honor to him by everything I do and it may sound strange but thats what happens when you realize whats really important in this ridiculously short life we have and this doesnt mean that i'll be drawing religous stuff all day LOL no I want to focus more on art that has meaning and emotion and light instead of Darkness happiness instead of fear love instead of hate and not so much demons if at all, there is plenty of artists out there who are doing dark art... I will still draw lots of warriors though I loooove that stuff especially samurai and ancient warriors like Romans and Greek, besides the bible is full of cool battles.

Oh and check out this guy he is soo awesome its unreal! http://pascalcampion.com/work/
Aaaanyway critique would be awesome, thanks!

I'm not much of a religious person, but draw and paint whatever makes you happy, that's always the right answer. But nevertheless that means "no more Blizzard" dream :/

I did a little paintover of your ranger. First of all i tilted the whole image a few degrees to give it a bit sliding composition. Then there was time to work on those trees a bit. If i were in your shoes, i'd first do some quick deep forest studies before even trying to do my own forest environment. Just to memorize the randomness of nature better, give them some more...life?. The glow in her hand was too bright from the start, not much i could do with it without having it on a separate layer. Keep in mind that breast is not a balloon 1 + Baloon2 They're more like cones to be honest.I did fix the hood too.
Now this is not the best paint over in the world, but i hope it portrays my thoughts.

Hi there! You've done a huge amount of work since the first page of your sketchbook
I want to give you a little advise. You tend to make colors a bit dirty in shadows area. I'd recommend you this book http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/sto...ight-and-Color and this tutorial http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/sto...ight-and-Color, maybe you can find them somewhere online. Studying these goods will really help you to make colors more interesting and get rid of dirt good luck to you and keep up the hard work!

    Wo ho ho!

You've really captured that gesture in many of theese little drawings.
Going flat with no opacity will teach you tons, but try to combine it with a soft brush, you'll get great results soon i can smell it

Oh and i finally know what's wrong with me i wasnt dehydrated like we though wow, a long time ago. I have an illnes which english name i don't know, but i can't east anything with gluten which can be found in most type of grain, plus anuthing that has milk in it. That means 90% of the great stuff that world has to offer is forbidden to me

Other than that it's fine, hope you're too.

Today I got an invitation to play Dota 2 beta for free man that was tempting but heck will Dota get me a job in the industry and pay my bills? heck no!@
