Been blowin' my mind lately man, sorry i haven't dropped in for a word earlier, I've just been hanging around watching things go by.
Real quality work over the past page and a half, those life drawings and gestures have really bolstered the look of your characters. Speaking of which, all of your original creature designs and medieval concepts have really been taking off! Your orc shaman piece turned out superb! I really enjoy your process of getting everything nice and tight digitally and printing it for traditional media. Turns out great, i should try it sometime!
Read your little thoughts on inking with a brush, some good points! I suffered from pressure problems (also working too small) and got fed up with regular dip brushes, but im getting into it again and your little notes will prove useful i think~
No crits man, dunno why your not 5stars 3 times over by now, i think our ratings got mixed up or something because you're really makin' me look bad! Keep up the awesome work!
AustenFM: Austeeennnnn! I haven't dropped by YOUR sb lately either, so we're even. I'm actually putting together a write up on that last piece I just did, so I'll talk more about inking and the painting work that went into it. If you wanna trade info, hit me up with a PM, or just ask here. I've picked up way more since I wrote that little bit.
Also, I just figure the response hasn't been much because I rarely post elsewhere...I am if anything a poor advertiser of my work. Rating doesn't matter too much to me though, I just want to share art and enjoy art.
I love your monster concepts, awesome style, really inspiring!
So this past week it was design Crusaders...my initial attempts I think were too stiff to be anything interesting - I think my problem was I was caught up in trying to make a good design, and not enough in making a good character. So I went back and did a second batch that I think hits closer to the mark.
Nice looking designs, really like the black and white ones. Reminds me of those old 60s cartoons.

DanijelC: Thanks! Yeah, the second batch of them I wanted to try and hit it closer to the old UPA style of design - very graphic and clear reads.
Orkimede:Thank you! I love your sketchbook, there's so many nuggets in there that are great to look at!
This past week was pirates, so I set out to draw a pretty retarded pirate, wall-eyed expression and all. I've also been sculpting some dinosaurs in zbrush! A generic ornithopod, and a in-progress avaceratops.

Mike L: Thank you!
bread crumbs: Thanks! I was really happy with my second pass at the knights.
So, forums are back up! This is good, since I've been itching to share artwork for awhile and haven't had anywhere but my blog to show it. So here are some hornbills from a past Character Design assignment, and some thumbnails and roughs for a new illustration I'm working on! Glad to be back!
great stuff! I really like the hornbills and the monster sketches!
Just wanted to say your work is pretty awesome.
Really good work. I totally dig your stylisation. I found a new thread subscription Looking forward to more!!
Hey Gorgonzola! I love your cool style! Your art makes me feel good and smile! It's so artistic and creative! The pen strokes are very smooth just like carved in butter! I sure will come back!

Damien Levs: Thanks! I hope I don't disappoint!
Greenhouse: Aw, thank you! That's a nice thing to hear.
Here's an update on the illustration - I also have some sketches and doodles to show, but I have yet to scan them in yet.
Your sketchbook is damn inspiring and I feel as if I dont draw as much as I should
Really dig the way you take simple shapes to heart, something I have to think more of
looking forward to seeing more posts man
keep at it
sketchbook updated October 6th
Jamie Romoser: Aw, thank you! Much appreciated, I'll try not to disappoint.
Finally, some stuff scanned from the sketchbook. Been drawing a lot lately with prismacolors, so that's what these are. I've also started to get into practicing women again, so I figured some cheesecake stuff would be the best bet.

Every critique helps me to get on step closer towards my dream so feel free to
