I really love the first image with the skeletons! The colours really make out a great mood for the picture, something like horror night, haha! Keep up the great work

WOot. Love your digis. You got a great way of rendering and steady values. Great choice of colours as well. Only thing I can really think off is your edge control. They are all pretty harsh atm add some smoothers one. But yea really neat stuff!

Thx for visiting my sketchbook. Thought I would return the favor. I see a ton of improvement just from the last page to this one. On most of your paintings, it looks as if you start out on plain white background. I find it easier to start out with a middle range value, preferably a color that is common in the focal point of your painting.
    Hope this helps

last post of the year :)

Krato: thanks man, yeah I fricken suck with structure, I try and just eyeball the whole thing and it always ends up all wonky at least with colour you can get it eventually, but if the structure isnít correct then thereís just no point even moving forward.
palladium: hey dude thanks for visiting! yeah I don't really know what Iím doing haha! Iím trying a whole bunch of ways of starting paintings and yeah its defiantly a good idea to start with a middle range value. Thanks for the advice and ill try and keep it in mind!

hope everyone had a kick ass xmas and all that, i got a lil lazy and lost the groove a bit, but its getting easier and easier to put in the hours! next year is gonna be an INSANE year of improvement, people are really starting to knuckle down, which is kinda scaryÖÖ

So heres some junk its all real unfinished L but ill try and finish some of them up for the next post! Thereís some anatomy from rey bustos and imagination, Sargent master study, study from life (couldnít finish because my mum decided to clean up the house!) and a character wip.

Oh and a self portrait of me looking all shitty (will finish that)

    Delicious portraits

especially the last one, the first in #96 and the child (all from the last page)

I also like the Daemon from page 3 and most of all the fact that every page shows major improvements, leaps and bounds forward ~ I can't imagine where you will end up, but it's certainly going to be good if you stick to it

    I'll be back!

Amazing work, I love how you save brushstrokes.
Your digital paintings have a nice, "thick" feel, but be careful! that can be bad when doing smooth and shiny things, as the kettle.

Anyway, great work! Keep it up

It's amazing how fast you improve. I like your clean lines and your still lifes. They look just great. Keep it up. And you are still so young.

very nice stuff you have here. one thing i did notice about your figure studies, though, is that everything has a kind of round feeling. don't be scared to use some hard, straight lines- they can be pretty useful for describing various parts of the body.

keep up the hard work. its paying off !
