Very nice, like the environment especially! Watch the top of that tower tho, perhaps a little wonky. Nice though, do more!

Hehe, it's a pain when you get drawn into the lighting, eh?! Can tell that's what lead you..

Keep 'em coming. Am more a character fan, but the last few enviro's make me wanna fire up HL2 again.

It seems a lot of my art has been wonky lately. I'm blaming it on my lack of sketching (and painting), rather than the awesome new models we've had recently. Will try harder next class! For now here's a Far Cry 2 inspired african jungle study.

Nice line work. I think you capture a good range of values with your hatching, so keep drawing

jeremyg0rd0n, thanks, I try. Sometimes though I get overly carried away to the point where a drawing becomes a mess and at other times don't pay much attention to proportions, so the drawing is doomed from the beginning. Have to learn to keep focus!

My newest character that I am modeling for my class (wip screenshots will post soon). Another Russian dude, but this time a solo class space assassin, who is currently on an assignment for NASA to eliminate all signs of extra terrestrial life aboard a certain ship.

Nice work! It's cool to see that you're doing your life studies in pen. You still need to work on the anatomy and gesture of your figures and characters though. Keep up the studies man

While your skin and fabric look great, the mechanical armor/creatures/parts all seem to look really flat. Not sure why, maybe it's just the way you lay them out or shade them. That aside, I really like your style!

jackpot_anjr90, thanks man, you're right. Will do!

    LAL, thank you! Won't stop!

hobo lyra, then some armor / prop studies would surely benefit me. Thanks for the honesty!

Scanned in some studies that I do in public transport from time to time, and a couple more poses from earlier this week.

Great studies! My tip would be to use many diffrent brushes when you paint landscapes, try more gritty and dirt like brushes.
    Keep up the good work!

Jockemon, thanks, I'll make sure to experiment with them. Any specific ones you can recommend? Your environments are outstanding by the way, very inspirational.

    Here's some 2min gestures, a couple 20s, a 40min pose, and more Randy Blythe!

Hey thanks for stopping by at my sb.

You are certainly going in the right direction, so i won't give you another work hard advice, as you know how it works obviously.

The only thing, that i would strongly suggest to eliminate is this messy hatching.
try to follow the form, or go against it, but be accurate and aware of what's going on, cheers.

mike butkus, thank you. It's a shame I don't do many long pose line drawings. Will have to remember next time I've class.

prsnsweeney, I'm keeping that in mind now, thanks.

Icecold, no prob man, your stuff is interesting to look at, so I subscribed. I agree with you on the hatching. Definitely trying to be steadier and more precise with it now. Thanks for the advice!

Here's figure drawings from a couple of weeks back and members of Godsmack.

Nice lines - keep studying anatomy. But it looks like that you really rushing your work - a lot of unnecessary lines. And with digi you trying to cut through the work with simple strokes (talking about that armored guy and red reflections in 72). That light never would bounce in such manner. So my advice to study life, especially physics of light. Also - when doing character in armor try to do first naked silhouette (when again - your lines are good) and then put on armor.

    Cheers )

Seraph Fawkes, you mean unnecessary lines in my sketches? If so, then I agree, some could be cleaner. I don't understand what you mean by me cutting through my digital work with simple strokes. What simple strokes and why is that bad??
