Wake up! Speak to me! Don't die on me, old thread!

Marlo's got that "escapee from the mental home" thang going.

I was once on the receiving end of a critique so savagely nasty, I marched straight out of class to the office and changed my major (sketchbook).

All's I did was up the contrast a little, so you can see the moderator rays better. Are we allowed to draw from the "What Does Everyone Look Like?" thread any more? I seem to remember it was frowned upon, but this poor thread is so dead and I'm very fond of it.

Here are a couple photos of me if anyone would like to draw!

Maybe this should get turned into a new thread, I think it's a really great thread.

    Quickly.

So I did one of Marlo. I wanted to do it in color, but for some reason in my PSE it was ... forced into grey?? I am not sure why, and would appreciate any helps to get it back to color. I was going over on her other photo with the eye dropper, and it was picking the color, but then when I would paint on my regular window it would only go in grey. I am soooo confused. New to PSE as well... So.. yeah, help would be awesome. lol.

Since I didn't get to do color. I did a quick black and white, it's not fully rendered, but I thought it looked really neat. I may go back through and try to render it some more. I am new to digi painting and thought this would be fun.

    Marlo progress 3

This is my first time digital painting. lol.

I do notice some things I need to change, I have made her face MUCH too wide. So I will have to go in and fix that when I work on it later!

I didn't think it was possible to be called an artist when you have nothing to say. It's like being a writer who publishes individual words as books and expects to be praised for it.

I really loved this thread and will try to draw a few of the beautiful faces from the last pages.
I couldn't find any decent mug shots of me. The only thing I could find were some picture from me in my self made costume for a medieval/folk-ish festival at which I volunteer every year.
And yes, I cut my boyfriend out of the picture . It is a pity because we have matching costumes haha
