im thinking about introducing a new concept of studying.
i will ask my self a question, like: what differs my figure drawings from head from real figures, or: what makes janaschis colors so awesome, and then ill try to answer those questions for me, over the period of one or two days by doing studies mostly. what do you think? i need some sort of plan or schedule like this.....

not sure if i understand your concept, but i say just go for it. sometimes comparing yourself to masters can really make you step your game up to a new level.
thank you mark, thank you nicky.
just two quick updates, second is a selfportrait, first one is a photo, i painted the box. practise.
edit: did another speedpainting. colors suck, composition sucks. values are okay i guess.
edit number 2: "quests" for tomorrow: studies of saurons armor from the lotr movie, then make my own design, but of morgoth and do a storytelling artwork with morgoth and fingolfin.

I bet drawing a box in a crooked building like that one was extra hard : P until you actually followed the beams for perspective and did it right.
Face on the speedpaint could be better
Interesting concept of studying. Excited to see what you will come up with.
Ja, ja jatherip !!! Great work mate.Lovely study experiment.Really great painting style. You are doing great so keep sharing!!!great to see u posting more often
Hey my main, scarf covered man! How's things with you?
I like the idea of painting something into a photo to make it look natural. May have to steal that from you.
Gotta go back through your thread... you've done a few more pages in the last 10 months
nice stuff dude, that box rocks!!! LOL thats what matter painters do for living add painted stuff to real photos, LOTR the movie is full with that stuff.
Self portrait is nice too!
Danny_K: thanks. i will work on lotr 4. for sure.
Parsakoira: thank you
SenEnd: thanks for the tips, ill use them!
HerrleerzeichenS: thanks, STD!
p sage: thanks. go for it ^^
kingkostas: thanks man, i will
stuff from today, sketches, i feel like im getting better.
Looking good dude, you are def getting better! The guys eyes are reeeeeal high up on his head though!
Something I noticed you do is you tend to warp the features on the face slightly down to the right. Taking a look at the stuff you posted on the last few pages I think it's defiantly a reoccurring habit!
Incredible progress O.O That sp is awesome!
Nur die Harten kommen in den Garten
i should update more often, srsly. i have said that wayyyy too often. so i am not sure wether ill manage it....i hope so.
ma little entry for a contest xia on idrawgirls.com held.
The textures on the last one are really great! I think there's some proportion problems on the image and the arm holding the weapon feels a little unnatural and broken to me. I think doing some gestures will fix these problems! I think the lighting on the hair is out of place with the rest of the lighting.
Not really a crit, but just wanted to point out how strong her jaw line is. Keep it up =)
