    Hi there! thanks for dropping by my SB, I thought I'd return the favour
    I have taken a quick look through your sketchbook, and I can see a good improvement from your first piece til now, so great job! This last portrait looks very good, you have taken the forms and structure into consideration, and it really shows, they are also very clear and readable! Keep going with the portraits, you'll be great at them in no time

    If you learn from every picture that you say that sucks, you'll get there. Think where and why it is wrong and bring that knowledge into your next attempt. If you don't know why it's wrong go back one step to where it was correct and move forward differently.

    Hi jatherip,
    You've been making real progress in few months, so please stop writing "it sucks" all over your pictures!!!
    At this pace in just a year you'll have leveled up quite a few steps, if you don't lose your nerves on each obstacle.
    When something looks wrong, observe it, look elsewhere, come back, try again. Experiment new things, change brush settings, drawing subjects.
    There's always ways to improve a picture instead of abandoning it.
    Take the bottle above, select a thin hard brush and polish the outlines of it and of the label. Pause to look.

    kick your ass? ok;

    DONT LEAVE THE FLICKIN PAINTINGS AS THEY ARE WHEN YOU ARE NOT HAPPY HOW THEY LOOK. WORK ON THEM TILL ITS OK. IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT TO IMPROVE, DO SOME STUDIES OF THE STUFF YOU WANNA PAINT AND TRY AGAIN!

    The bottle doesn't totally suck, but it looks like you stopped looking at what you were painting.
