    fredflickstone vs. Atmospheria

THis was taken from an email back to Atmospheria...if the subject changes, so will this post...bring it on!!!!

Ok, sci-fi it is.some sort of swift troop transportflying through enemy
lines. The environment is otherworldly, SOmething oxgenated for sake
of why the troops are there protecting the land, or, aqttacking it.
Maybe its not oxygenated, but some sort of rock that is important,
    mineral...oil...etc..

The vehicle is an offensive vehicle, so think combat ready. The number
of troops it carries is up to you. The environment should be
interesting enough to not feel like we are here on earth, not just
    rocks with purple sky.

You can create the environment separately, and the vehicle in a 3 view
if need be, but the end product is a production still, cinematic ratio,
showing the vehicle in action within the environment.

    3 things due:

    The vehicle design

    The Environment design thoughts (visual)

The end production shot of the two integrated
    Cinematic ratio 1:2.35 format.

BMW Heavy Industries - Compact Trooper Carrier

    Ok.These are the finished works.
Vehicle is a BMW...th future generation of the corporation. After the wars, they decided to manufacture for the military. So here it is. As the topic, it's a landing ship but swift and fast. Can carry 4 troopers and has got two heavy gathling guns.
The environment in the cinematic piece is a planet which has a living surface. Lots of worms covers all the planet. But as the subject again, there's a rock on the surface that humans want. "We always want!" So it's a landing scene, troopers landing, BMW is defencing.

    1:2.35 Scene :

    Technical specifications of BMW :

If you want to look at, these are the sketches:

    scene_sketches

    vehicle sketches

    other scene sketches

I'll post these to the finished pieces section as well.

    Take care

Kick ass. Nice story to go with it. I will have mine up today or tomorrow. I have been having technical issues with a virus and a worm, so I have been dealing, in my spare time with trying to restore my hard drive.

I'll get my sketches up in a few hours, finishes later.

Great work, a cut from the same block with all the organic stuff....sweet...:chug:

Here is the finish image. It was literally about 2 hours tonight, some of it, most of it was the class demo for the digi class so I spent no time on this. I will improve upon it when I can...more images coming, I just had to get this one in for sure....

So here is the story...This race, these races, are polythiests, so symbology, naley, natural symbols of religious icons or iconic strength reign in their culture. All the details in their lives revolve around symbols. Thus, the highly stylized looking renditions of animal ships...the stingers, after the bee, are an electro static technology, throwing its discharge(waste) out four vents designed to form the discharge into menacing looking wings. These wings are merely illusion.

The caterpillar is a troop transport, each segment carries 5 troopers within the belly, while the cover man flys above in the segment. The lead ship is the command ship for each division.

The class of people that fly the beez are creating weapons in the factory covering a thermal vent. This is hidden on a wind swept planet in the far corner of their particualr solar system. This race harnesses energy from thermal vents, and then uses it to procude electro static technology. The caterpillar army is moving in to sabotage the factory.. This part of the image i really didnt get a chance to develop... but was not part of the original story anyway, so whatever...I wish I coulda finished the entire image though. It was fun, thanks for the battle royale...

Thaks guys. Atmospheria, it has been fun, if you want to do it again sometime, I would enjoy that, even under tight deadlines, I still enjoyed this challenge.

I think there are some seriously good pieces this challenge with so many people, I hope the fires keep burning under all yer arses to constantly produce work at the level that you did without contest motivation. This has been great to see everyone step up, everyone that did the challenge that is...

    See ya
