Hey all, Emerald City games just launched the first MMORPG ever developed for Facebook! The game is called Sacred Seasons. It's still a beta and a little rough around the edges, but here's what we have up so far:
- up to 5 player co-op battles with your online friends
- 16 different unique character classes
- a huge assortment of weapons, headgear and monsters
- 4, soon to be 5, different land areas to explore, and several unlockable quests
As of this post we have over 2,000 users. We wanted share some of the artwork the team has created during production and to shamelessly promote the game! That being said here's a link. http://www.facebook.com/apps/applica...77828235&ref=s
Here's a selection of the work I did to get things started. More of the artist will be posting shortly!
These images were drawn by the talented http://sc4v3ng3r.deviantart.com/ and colored by me.

Amazing amazing work, great environments and style. Love the character concepts, some stances are a bit off but the clothing elements are very cool.
0_o an MMORPG on Facebook!?! Now that is interesting indeed
I was in charge of coloring several of the environment objects...heres essentially what they look like in-game (the city is just live screencaps)
I also did several quest write-ups. As a part of that I got to design several of the NPCS, which was more fun than anyone should have.
(note: these aren't my artwork, just me re-arranging and coloring character clothing to create unique looking non-player characters. I wanted to put them here mostly to show off some of the cool customization of characters we will have)
Thanks guys for all your kind words! There are still many fantastic artist from the team who plan to post some work soon. We hope to continually update as new new stuff comes in so keep checking back!
Amazing designs. And it shows how versatile your work is that it, IMO, still works to the more stylized, almost chibi style. I'll have to check it out on facebook.
love the enviro concept and the way u coloured it! sweet!
Learning in the process
MY SKETCHBOOK http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=166582
My illustrations of the Summer and Spring classes, concepts co developed with Eric:
Great evolution of concept- only thing that bothers me is that the desert people aren't wearing many clothes. I mean it's hot there but if you go an hour in the desert without good cover you're a frowning piece of jerky.
All the summer classes are super cool and in the spring classes, shaman and charmer are great.
edit: Noticed that beyond the earlier concepts, the desert banded WAS clothed and the spring guy was unclothed so nvm about the desert comment. Good catch!
Here's my awesome, pro website.
Character designer/Illustrator looking for studio work!
Looks pretty sweet. This might be a reason for me to actually log in to facebook from time to time.
Only thing I notice is the in-game 'chibi' sprites/cartoons look a LOT like the Gaia online avatars. Was that intentional?
FlameRaven: I could be completely wrong about this because I didn't work on the characters but I don't think it was our intention to mimic Gaia online's avatars. I checked them out and I'd say, as far as the chibi style goes, they have enough of a difference to hold their own when compared side to side. That's a great observation though! Always good for us to be aware of others designs. Thanks for asking!
Hey all, new official link to the Sacred Seasons website. You can access the game from here and read a little about it too! http://www.sacredseasons.com/

Kelly X: We love hearing that people dig the game! Hope you like it even more as we continue to build upon the world.

the art is fantastic! great work!
my only gripe is the the 'in game toons' look exactly like every other free to play mmo/cartoonish game I've seen, which saddens me. outside of those, I love it!
nice stuff, i'll have to check out the game
really nice stuff in the first post.
Thanks for all the love guys! We have been really encouraged by the response to the game and, of course, the artwork.
