Haha Pookie, I'm so pleased you are posting again. Your updates are pure gold and I love everything you do. I was wondering how you rendered the hair on the dog, it looks so fine, especially the reflections in the eye. Are you able to explain your approach?

    Hello, Thank you everyone!

Marian: hmm, I like to use mechanical pencils for fur, I have one that's 0.3mm (so its tiny!) and I put 3B leads in it so it provides a tiny line and is still pretty soft. I have a lot of fun drawing the eyes, and love to draw people and animals indoors near windows to get lots of reflections but always get bored after I finish them:/ hope that helps a little! :o

here are a couple of pictures of my latest marionette from my blog

inspirational mind-opening sketchbook you have! Love the analog collages. Thanks and 5*
BTW: I am trying to get into puppetry so I thought you may recommend some craft-book to look at. There are plenty so I thought a hint would help.

    thanks again!

Jr.Molcak: I have just taught myself from what i have seen in pictures and online, but I recently got this book called
Making and Manipulating Marionettes by David Currell, and its amazing!! like the bible for marionette builders... for other types of puppetry i have no clue, sorry! look forward to seeing what kind of puppets you make! and will check out your sketchbook to see them!

The way you handle a pencil is incredible. It's a joy to see these graphite drawings. The frog on the snail is my favourite!
