Woah brilliant start! Why were you lurking so long?! Seems like you pay close attention to lighting, and as a result your pencil renderings are fantastic. For example, I love how in this one you used tone to define the tusk, instead of line. It really pops! I know its only a small detail but I really like that. These ones are great too. My only advice? Invest in a scanner! I'd like to see these a bit clearer. Anyway great stuff, keep going!

Scarf is super-cute... and congrats on learning to knit

Your SB looks great -- those animal studies especially. I really like the variety here, everything from moon-faces to flea circuses

I remember as a child reading and watching the the Mole. It had some kind of special magic to me that I can still remember and almost feel even today. The books seemed almost 3d to me the cars and mechanical stuff popping out of the pictures. The reason I'm telling you this is cause I think that these drawings you are doing could have the same effect on children. They have a wonderful feeling of depth and the colors are simply fantastic. Really great job. Will have to give you five stars just for the reason that this thread is so interesting. Will be awesome to see where you are in a couple of years.
