Damn, how have I not seen this sketchbook? I love all of the traditional work, the airbrush on the graphite rocks.

Hey Mike, awesome work. I love "How to Draw Fallen Angels" - I think I already mentioned that here - if not, you've got a fan in me.

I'm looking at your sketchbook and it's complete and utter eye candy - I'm hoping you'd be so kind as to answer two questions for me: Who was your first big client, and when did your career really start to take off? If you don't want to answer that's fine - but I did subscribe because I love your work.

Thanks if you answer those questions, thanks anyway if you dont!

thanks man! B.D.Fox, I work there for about two years as the in-house artist, a truly wonderful experience. That was twenty years ago and I have never worked full time for another agency or studio.

Hooly crap Mike, been a while since I checked out your sketchbook last. Love the side details on that last sketch. What did you use for the white on the skull tattoo to make it pop like that?

Hey Mike I really like the spaceship one although it would be a shame to have some of it covered up by the text. I have been trying to find a UK alternative to prismacolor pencils you use. I think we have something called Chinagraph pencils which are waxy and can mark any surface, would this be similar?

Also I was wondering if you mix any sort of spirit with the pencil to get such smooth areas of tone, or does it just smudge like that with your hand of a tissue. Thanks as always if you can help.

    Marian Rowling,
Thank you again, and yes I sell my original drawings and paintings, the prices range from a few hundred dollars for drawings to thirty thousand plus for an original painting like Polar Express 40 x 60.
