This is the underdrawing for the Fallen Angels cover art, acrylic paint and just a we bit of color pencil. The painting, from sketch to finish took about 6 hours.

Damn, as I said before, this has to be the most inspiring sketchbook on this site and you certainly are one of the best around. Love your stuff, come back time and time again just to watch all the stuff I've already seen before again to be absolutely amazed. Stunning.

I think you said once that you were using Prismacolor black pencils for your drawings. Is that right? If you use them, whats the advantage over normal Pencils (the ones available in HB, B, H and so on, don't know the exact word in english, i think it's just pencil).
I've got a few Faber Castell Polychromos at my desk, are they good for drawing? You know, just lines... I feel comfortable with pencils but the values i get from it aren't as intense as the ones I get with the Polychromos.

    greetings from Germany.
    Marian

PS. What size do the sketches you do have in average? Not Thumbnails just more detailed sketches.

It always makes my day when you update, whenever I don't feel motivated enough to draw I alway hunt your sketchbook down and let the waves of magnificence crush me until I feel worthless as an artist. But the luckily very soon after that the motivation kicks in and I study until my hand stops working ha ha. Incredible work as always, thanks for posting.
