Hey mike, your SB stalker back once again! haha. Very nice updates. The very top right sketch in #1456 is particularily awesome imo. Awesome camera angle you have chosen, and very nice composition. Would love to see that one finished to the same standard as your #1467 piece. Beautiful painting. Nice job getting the texture of that rough and uncomfortable clothing. I think you captured it perfectly. But I would expect no less from you! haha.
I would say keep at it, but I know you will

once again, love seeing your process work, it's always fun looking at all the different thumbs you make before seeing the final rendering.

I asked a while back if you had any Jean-Claude Van Damme themed work, that would make me so happy if you did!

    Keep it up!

Hi MR-M, acrylic paint, a little color pencil, and airbrush for the stippling effect.

    Barbie ruined your sketches
Why would they do those things. Like move the Eiffel Tower and make the dog bigger and overall less awesome? Gahhhh. Your stuff should have just been used instead of these stiff renders. Totally put me off barbie, go Cindy!

The one of the guy holding on to the magnifying glass is really nice. Both the thumbnail and more finished piece.
The level of detail in your thuumbnails are perfect.

    Hi Mike,

    Stunning... all the time.

I've got a question about the tools.
    I've seen your amazing office

So, did you ever try to use the soft i paint with (see below these illustration/reproduction WIP)... Would be happy to know.. ? You would do miracles with it. :-)

    Mike,

    Well, i'm a bit confused!
I just realised that it is your sketchbook and that i've posted few paintings of my own in it.

If i have to erase them, let me know ;-) No problem for me.

    Best,

    Weeks

Hi WEEKS, thank you for the examples, i've never used Soft i paint but would not mind trying it. The majority of my work is still traditional, but i am always looking for a faster and more efficient way to produce color sketches for my clients.
    Again thanks for the post.
    Mike

    Hi Everyone,
The How-to Zombie book I've been working on, has now been released! It's got over 15 illustrations on how to paint, draw and take your zombie images to a finish, traditionally and digitally. Check it out at your nearest book store and please post your reviews on either Amazon or the Walter Foster (the publisher) website. The next book on how to draw vampires will be on the shelves in June and I am currently working on my own book of fantasy creatures, due out next year.
I had a great time working on them and hopefully you guys will enjoy them as well.
If you guys have any questions regarding the work in the book, please don't hesitate to email me.

    Cheers!
    Mike
